Where have you driven your Mazda5 .. (Videos / photos)

I too hate abs. Nice video as usual. Too much snow up there already.

You did the right thing by letting off the brakes, though you should have been able to steer with abs going too. That guy in front of you just missed though.

Did you let him in, or did he take his spot back in front of you?

I haven't tried steering with foot on the brakes (I'll have to practice it), but I learn ABS makes car drive straight and rear stays at the back. I reckon steering
with foot off brakes has more traction (habit from old cars). The car in front of me I assume it had ABS but I guess driver was taken
by surprise too. first swerved to the left and saw an opening to exit to the right. And did a u-turn to rejoin road.

I decided to let her take back her place in exchange for a wave and a smile. :). Young, good looking and not bad maneuver for following too closely
to the red car. lol.

We only had 2 snow falls. The thing just don't get to melt and stays layered on the ground the entire winter.
They have sanded the streets already.. so there should be reduced number of surprises.

Love your videos skyhawk! What was the music in this last one? The song is beautiful.
About the ABS, I think it can't just wait and hope that a locked wheel will gain traction later. Once wheels are locked you can't steer effectively. So it's functioning correctly. You just need keep more distance :)

Thanks. Song is 'Gulong ng plad' (wheel of fortune) a Filipino song. You are right I reacted too late. I should have observed the slowdowns up ahead. I still have to practice steering with abs on. My brain was thinking about that but I decided I'd do the 'releasing' during the steering.

Drove my mazda5 from/to outer space?

I guess this belongs to the mazdas247 forum of the future

But here it is anyway. .. the take off is a bit rough.

Happy Holidays to all.

This is already Dec. 24th and no snow. and I bought sets of winter tires for the young driver' mazdas.
I hope the tireds don't wear too quickly with the dry pavement.

Wow! I can't believe its already 2012, this would be the 6th spring time of our 2006GT mazda5.
Known 'battle scars' include - gash of the front right alloy wheels, 2 little dings in the right sliding door,
a nasty gash in bottom of right side sills (when I drove over a parking island), a bunch of windshield stone microchips
and (im sure) a collection of paint chips and swirl marks. Other than these our mazda5 is doing great.

Here she is in action:
