John and Justin, Wes and Ivan tried loading the suspension to tighten the nuts to the ball joints but no dice. I warped the stud when I punched it out of the hub with the BFH and the castle nut is probably warped too.

I just said "**** it" and ordered both control arms for both sides and had them overnight them. It was about $308 but I need a car to drive and I'm sure my roommates would like their parking spots. My GF was like "Well at least you aren't spending twice that much taking it to a shop.". She has a good way of making me feeling better about dropping big money on stupid parts. haha.

Thanks for the help though, guys!

Tonight I'm going to swap oil pans and fill motor oil, drain/re-fill the tranny (all 8.5 quarts! holy crap), check which fuel lines are send/return and hook them up, finish connecting the coolant lines and fill with anti-freeze, hook up the tranny and TB cables, hook up the wiring then turn the key and drive around grandpappy style, yO! Hopefully I'll get any CEL/codes sorted and get it e-checked, then registered without many more problems. :)

Then the P6 will go back into the garage for hibernation and giving the Milly the evil eye for using up some of her mod money. muhaha...

We tried to do that but it kept spinning. It looked like the top of the stud was actually warped so that might be why. Wes pointed it out and it looks like the castle nut can't thread past a certain point.

EDIT: Too late lol

No worries Evan... I kinda got used to someone else's car being broken and hanging out at the house for who knows how long...

Tip for getting the oil pan off easily..block of wood along the front of the pan. Hit the block of wood with a hammer and it should pop right off.

Don't forget to take the bolts out, Evan. :D

I think the stud on that ball joint bent a bit where it has the holes drilled through it for the pin to secure the castle nut. At least that's what it looked like.

Evan, when '07 TL Type-S's come down in price, I would highly recommend checking them out. To sum up the car, it's everything that the Milly should have been. Cody brought one home from work last night, and I rode in and drove it and I was nothing but impressed. It was even an auto, and you know how much I hate autos (and luxury), and I was still impressed. It would be downright baller with the 6 speed manual.

Well, how bout some piktars?

I figured this would be a prime time to get a shot of both the 2-bolt and 3-bolt intermediate shaft housings. I've never seen pictures like this, so hopefully this will be useful to someone.

It would be awesome to make this into a gif and animate the next two pictures, but the lazies are strong in this one...

We salute this poor impact wrench, who served the garage well for quite some time.

Crazy storm outside! We were all thankful to be in the garage, despite how leaky it is.

Awesome team work putting an axle in! (notice how I never actually have to do anything and just take pics? (naughty) )
