What have you done to your P5 today?

Hell yeah and the tread on these Nokians is much more aggressive than on my former WS50s. :)

Tried to start her up after 2.5 weeks away. Dead battery and the Optima was 6 months outside the free replacement. Paid $100 for a new Red top, washed her and brought her home from storage.

Damn Kyle...wish you luck in getting the numbers massaged so you can get the car fixed and keep it!

Whoa....I missed this, I need to remember to keep checking your thread.

Looks good and one of my top three fav OEM wheels.....now it's time to lower that 4x4. :)

Picked her up from the bodyshop Friday night....no more hole in the qtr panel! :D Yesterday I gave her a bath and wax before the upcoming winter season and just snapped this pic in the driveway.

looks great!

CTt3P5... what does that set up do to your gas mileage? Just curious because it's AWESOME but I don't know if I can justify something like that...

I had a feeling it was dying. With the car off, I could only run the stereo for like 5 mins before the voltage started dropping below 10v. I think I deep cycled the battery as few times lol

There is a way to "revive" an Optima if the voltage drops below 10v. But since you've already cashed it in, it's too late. But keep it in mind for next time. I wish I had done that when I had a yellow top die 1 month out of warranty.

swapped out my philips oem hid bulbs with some 6K hid bulbs on my retrofit...and it looks nice but i lost some road visibility which sucks.

4300 is the best whitest light and has the most useable visibility. Under that is more yellow and over is more blue the further you get from 4300. 6000 (6k) is pretty blue but you can get bluer.

Weaseled my car in the garage today as close to the freezer as i could for the winter mods. (not much room in there with the truck). 3" straight pipe exhaust and heavily ported intake mani goin in. Maybe the microtech if I have enough funds for it all.

Your question got me thinking so rather than just throw out some numbers, I went back through my fuelly to get an avg of my mpgs last year with the snows on and with my summers on. From 11/8/11 to 4/2/11 I drove 5850.2 miles and used 246.4 gallons of gas for an avg of 23.7mpg. From 4/3/11 to 10/29/11 I drove 7246.5 miles and used 284.5 gallons of gas for an avg of 25.47mpg. So not quite 2mpg less per tank...on average. Waiting to see how much, if any, difference I'll see after this season with the new Nokians vs my former Blizzaks. Right now I can say that the Nokians don't like to grip in the dry as well as the Blizzaks did!

At $3 a gallon that's approx $126 more I spent in gas for the winter season...give or take. For me it's justifiable as the initial cost of wheels was $100 and the Nokians I just had installed ran me $64ea out-the-door....much less than a comparable 16" tire would have cost.

i finaly put on my MSP valve cover!
decided not to go with a high polish VC but better yet matched the AEM intake.
im really happy how my engine bay looks... now all it needs is a nice cleaning and a turbo ;)

^ that's pretty sweet! Maybe in my future. I didn't even know that would fit

Today, I picked up Black...she got the:
  • bumpers and side skirts painted back to black mica
  • the hood and spoiler re-touched up and re-cleared
  • my f'ed up rear quarter panel was blocked finished and cleared
  • a few minor dings PDR'd

Extras:
  • my headlights re-finished and cleared
  • The guy threw a free clear bra over the front of my hood

$600 later my car is blingin' hard again!
