ordered me a new toy :P

loving my SRI. =] i have all next week off from school till next quarter. i plan on trying to make a cold air box for it. anyone already done this/tell me the dimensions to get s snug fit against the hood. making it will be easy, but getting the dimensions to fit against the hood may be harder. or maybe i should make a separate thread and have everyone problem solve in one thread and make that the go to box thread?

Ok so i got it all sorted and fitted this morning and i must say sounds great as u go over the 2k rev mark and there is a difference in accelaration and helps on the low revs when in a high gear, all in all very pleased :D

Car day i picked it up from dealer

Your HAI (Hot Air Intake) looks nice. I have an HAI on my Miata (MX-5 for you in the UK). I like the growl, I can't feel any more power in the ass dyno but I like the growl (did I already say that?). When stuck in traffic, the intake temps are up quite a bit as expected and then when moving they drop fast and I guess a bit more power is available at the top end.

Thanks for pics. Now go clean up that wiring job on the right side of the battery. ;)

i was thinking the same thing.

anyone got the measurements on a box yet i still dont have time to get putty and check to see what a tight seal will be.

im thinking of moving the battery...

i cant do anything more with the wiring for my HID's thats the best they going to be, if i pull or bend them the switch box comes loose, i hid sum of it around the back but meh its under the bonnect anyways haha, and hey if you get a box sorted let me know measurements and what you used and ill try and get one made up :) but tbh i reckon at speed the feed from the front vent used for the original intake would be enough, especially as winter air is here :)

as soon as i find measurements (i have the width but i need it to seal against the hood of course) i will start with the original vent which can be a simple hose attached from it to the box. then i will see about cutting out the fog and running a hose. =]

:)

and winters in texas can mean a lot of things lol
