Aaaarrrrggggghhhhh

Thanks for the good words, I stopped by the site today and found more plastic and aluminum parts. I don't see how she kept from flipping and the tracks where she came back up on the road and she missed a second abutment by a foot and drop off big enough to swallow the car. She doesn't remember what happened, but she has had migranes and TIAs so no driving till she gets to see a neurologist.

I hope your wife is OK. Sucks that your car is out of commission and you have to go make a payment on a neurologist's Porsche.

This is not a bad thing... (The car being totaled) I would rather that you get a new car than drive around with something that was that bad and then fixed to look good.

You would never be able to sell it because of CARFAX...

I hope that everything works out as good as possible.

That's true, that was going to be my first question to the ins. co, how much for diminished value? I went by Oxmoor Mazda yesterday and the manager said that with the incintives and discount, he can probably put me in a '12 5 for the check. I know, blowing smoke.(rolleyes)

I paid ~$21.5K for a loaded '09 GT with navi, remote start, Sirius, etc. at Oxmoor. The MSRP was around $27K. They also gave me a great trade value on the Accord coupe I traded.

I would take them very seriously.

Totaled, got the word Fri. evening.(shrug)(shrug)

Sorry to hear about your faithful 5! But I am glad to hear they did the right thing. I looked through all of the pictures, and it looked very nasty. Keep us informed on how it goes with the insurance co.

Got through the Granddaughters wedding so I'll start working on this tomorrow, not looking forward to playing that game, but I don't have to be in a hurry since the wife can't drive for a while since she doesn't know what happened.

Abt your wife: be sure someone checks her out for PTSD as well as the neurological snafus. Esp since she doesn't remember a thing. Sounds like her brain is protecting itself there.

I went to Lou. today and had two cars to look at before I hit the Mazda dlr. I planned on looking at a new Fit Sport, but first I wanted to check out a couple of used Prius. Went to Jeff Wyler Toyota in Clarksville, In. to look at a red 2010 and a silver 2010. The 51/48 won out over the 28/Zoom Zoom. Did the dance and settled on price, they took it to the shop and installed 4 new Goodyear Assurance tires and filled with the tank with gas, all 11.9 gal capacity. Had money left from the settlement check. Had a good run here, informative and enertaning.
