i took the mounting plate off from when i got i hated the way it looked plus there where already holes and the paint was coming off soooo....

alright heres where im sitting with my coils

I threaded the strut as far down as it would go the dropped the "COLLARS" all the way down too

Figured i would post this one up too

You've got another inch of drop if you take them apart from the bottom, unscrew the bottom two collars, shorten the strut length to as short as it goes, and reinstall them.

You can remove all 3 lol

but then you will have a lot more issues such as the pinch weld

The 2 bottom ring is the same diameter as the shock body on the bottom so i can't imagine it being much different but who knows lol. Prior to doing this I had already removed the top ring

Can you explain this one a little more?

I needed to replace one of my foglight units and found out that the fog lamp itself is exactly the same in the RX-8's. It was available in 3 different colors: clear, blue or multi colour tints. It was cheaper to get it off eBay than get it thru JapanParts.
