Here is the skinny....

Just got my MS6 GT used for 13200.00 with 47k and its bone stock. I am motevated to get her modded. I am starting from scratch. Here is the list.

Used parts are what I am looking for unless otherwise specified.

COBB AP-Unmarried
Rear Dif Mount- All brands will be taken into consideration
Eng Mounts- Got the rear
Tranny mount- still need
Sway bar- Adjustable- Reccomendations?
CAI- Cobb or CP-E - got the cpe thanks for the deal
Vent pod- with or without boost gauge.-bought
boost gauge-bought
Dashhawk
down pipe- catless preferably-bought
Window visors
Coilovers

i have a injen CAI greddy flange adapter with a bov and a test pipe im parting with im asking 350.00 for all. pm if interested
 
that cobb ap is going to be about $300 to send to cobb to get unmarried from the previous ECU... theres already been discussion about that particular ebay item

i have a protege garage turbo inlet pipe for sale

and i have a jbarone short shift plate too!!

Damn, You bought a married Cobb unit? And do you want a down pipe or test pipe? cant run both.. I've also got an SSP and a couple other parts.. I'll try to make a list..

yeah, that setup never made sense to me... and do they still make the CS DP/TP combo?? just seemed like extra work for no reason?
 
Pretty sure you can send it to Cobb.. But, it's like $200 to reprogram it.. Yeah, s*** happens..

Things you want on this car for cheap.. Ssp, test pipe, inlet, intake, maybe a new bov? For exhaust id hit a local muffler shop..most for this car are 3" and a bit loud.. Most other mods are more $$ And ones like the sway bar and rear diff mount are tons of work..
 
Thanks Mark but I planed on doing the dif mount and sway bar anyways. I am a mechanic (aviation) by trade so Im pretty handy with a wrench. Dont mind getting dirty and have about a 2.5k to 4k budget. Planed on spending 18 for the car so I have some room to play.
 
i think its an 8-10 hour job? or thats what i was told.. ive had my Diff mount sitting for a while..

2-4k budget? then shoot big!! get some coils! i got KW v2s.. youll need them. or something better than stock suspension if you wanna track it or?

I'm just looking for a BAMF DD. I want to rip on some unsuspecting Hondas. (evil) Coilovers are in the plan. Not so sure if I want some used ones though. You never know what you're getting into with used struts. I want to keep the ride tight but not track tight. Like I said she is my DD. I still am very new to the Mazda world and turbo world at that (we will go ahead and throw forum world on the end of this as well). Cobb parts seem to be in the highest regard on these forums but the price tag fallows so I am keeping my eyes out for suitable substitutes where they can be applied. She needs a lot of work though I am going to start a build thread and keep the pics rolling in. So if anyone want to see their junk turn into my treasure keep the parts coming my way.

Plus I have a full shop at my disposal. Lifts and phnumatic tool should speed up the process.
 
if you want cheap suspension. id go used H&Rs or Teins and some billsteins or tokicos.. but, skip the konis! you have to hack up your stock front shocks to mount them...

for springs, maybe the Tein S-tech if you want low? H-tech if you wanna more stock ride? both can be found used.. theres not really any vehicle specific coils for the MS6.. so youre picking from the regular 6 stuff really...
 
Just remember, Dowm Pipe without a Tune = Boom

not true. . . I have a 3 inch dp and am not tuned. . . yet. And you don't have to pay an arm and a leg for a DP, I have the ebay one and it works great. Just try to get a catted one so you don't have to worry about your CEL.
 
BC Racing has a coil over suspension kit for the MS6. I just installed it on Friday.
Get an intake/exhaust/tip(turbo inlet pipe)/bov(blow off valve) for instant gains & gratification.
Get the DP, but get your AP married asap....it seems like majority of ppl running w/a DP go zoom zoom boom.
