NEMOC Random BS Thread

Wow Jeff, that sucks. Hope it gets better fast.

Morning all. Rode my bike almost 15 miles yesterday. Bought some baggy bike pants with padding you know where. Helped alot.

Off to babysit my Dad till Sunday. Should be interesting. Mom is taking a well deserved vaca. Getting old sucks.

Good morning every one.
Very happy to see Jenn and James the other day. Good timing I was just coming out of AZ.

Jeff sorry to hear about ordeal I hope everything is ok now.

Bruce da cyclist??? Good for you and glad you are doing fine. I should emulate you.

Chris that was very nice picture. How old you think that mural could be??

Flippy your son has grown so much since last year WAO congratulations on his first communion.

Mark you are all over the place we will change your name "THE TRAVELING GNOME"

Ashlee that look like a nice flat ride from here LOL

Good point Josh....but for sure one helluva job!

Thanks everyone and took the day off...still not 100%. I have a call in to the ortho and going to call the pain mgmt dr. today to get some insight as well....but figuring I'll get brushed off. Kyle....no need to hold back on the shoulder....I had shoulder pain too and it sux! And sorry for ranting but I couldn't call the dr. that late last night and curse him out so I needed to vent a bit.

Bruce....maybe I should invest in the same pants or just buy a new seat. My current seat hurts so much that I practically stand the entire time I'm riding. Then again I guess that's what I get for a $100 bike.

Cheo....wassup!

Chris....sorry dude but was out of it and I can only imagine how scary that would be to have truck tire blow next to me on the highway. I think I'd need to change pants for sure. I still get hesitant when passing tractor trailers and if traffice is permitting I've found myself doing 80mph to get by them as fast as possible.

And congrats to your son Tony! He did a good job picking out his outfit...future ladies man on your hands. ;) And nice strawberry shortcake...do you ship? :)

I stand the entire time I ride, but then again my bikes got no seat!

but for road riding, def get some lycra shorts with the chamois in them. makes a world of difference when on a road bike :) love mine!

Cheo thanks man! He has gotten big man, Wish I could make it to LRP this year but there will be other events you will get to see him at im sure!

Lol, could not stand for any length of time.

Hey folks.

Hey Phen, what's up with the miata?????

That's what I got. Big difference.

Saw mom off on the train. Looking after the old man.

Ok...This has been bothering me all week and forgive me, but I am pissed and need somewhere to vent....

I'm sitting in a Comfort Inn while attached to a project for the week. My boss wanted me to use this hotel because the chain offers a corporate discount with my company. Now, after my second day here I noticed the door to my room doesn't shut all the way and is fairly loose. I thought nothing of it and went about my business. Yesterday afternoon I come home from my long *** day and head up to the room. I leaned on the door because I'm tired and fished for my key in my pocket. To my surprise, the damned door opens by itself from my weight. I quickly enter the room and check on my items that were left here throughout the day. Nothing was missing thankfully.

Now comes the fun part. Thinking it a fluke, I walk out and shut the door to attempt this feat again. Guess what, it works again. So I lift up a bit to get the door to latch; it's still loose but sturdy and looked shut. I pushed the door to open and out of morbid curiosity, I wedge my key card in to jimmy the lock open because of the gap I could see... With minimal effort I open the door.

I immediately walked down to the front lobby and explained my situation to the manager on duty. She came up with me and looked at the door. I showed here everything I noticed and requested to be changed rooms based on my feelings of security. She told me that I should just lift up a bit more on the door to make sure everything is aligned. She takes my room number and sends it to her "maintenance people" for a look at. I was completely denied a new room.

I talked to my boss today about it and I said that since I am leaving tomorrow, I'm too worried about it. The good thing is my company is filing a complaint with the Comfort Inn chain to reimburse them on their money spent. I took photos of the door and it's condition and forwarded them to my boss. I just wish I could have recorded the conversation the manager had with me.

I mean you can even see light from the outside hallway through the gap in the door and that the door has physical damage from what looks like previous forced entry. Everything is out of alignment and completely bent to ****.

I can't wait to leave tomorrow.

lol at Bruce and to be honest the shorts would be kind of a waste. My rides as of now consist of around the block a few times with the kids. In my teen years I lived on my bicycle.

Chris...that is complete bs on both the hotel and your boss. Who cares if you are leaving tomorrow. If something goes missing in the meantime is the company gonna foot the bill for it? I'm sure they will eventually but I can imagine the hassle you'll have. Wedge the bed agains the door when you sleep. :)

Quick update....no major headache to speak of today but I've popped two more caffiene pills and had a couple of sodas throughout the day or should I say pop. ;) Seems everything I experienced last night are normal complications I was just fortunate and didn't feel like that after the first too. Follow-up in two weeks and if I still have pain, they are suggesting a nerve block.

Its officially in new hampshire! end of next week it will have made its way to me just in time for the beginning of summer break!
