What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

I painted my center caps on my stock rims black, sure made it stand out a little more now.

Pics?

On another note, does anyone have any experience with Colorworks Mobile Paint Repair? The guy whose daughter rear ended me and scratched my bumper sounds like he's finally ready to pony up, but he doesn't like my quote from a paint shop and wants to use these guys. If anyone has used them and has good things to say I'd be OK with it, but I'm a little skeptical. Now I'm just trying to figure out if it would be worth it to make up the difference between the quotes myself and just get it done right. Paint shop is about $850 to Colorworks' $650. I'm leaning towards just eating the difference and having a proper shop do the work.

He hit you. You call your insurance company & go from there. HE has no choice in the matter. You get the check, you pick the place.

Getting new tires tomorrow!

I'm getting frustrated with a strange electrical gremlin in my car. Whenever I go over a bump on the road/highway, the dome lights turn on and the door-ajar indicator on the dash turns on momentarily. They all turn off right away. I've been able to determine that when I flick the clutch pedal with my foot, that it does the same thing.

Anyone have the same issue?

i had an issue kinda similar to that recently. i couldn't lock my damn car. turns out my trunk latch was sticking open and not latching.

I've had this recently. I think I have to lube it.

New TIP seems like it gives more power (maybe imaginary). It definitely has more sound. New shift knob has a more solid feel. Can't wait to get Sure RMM installed.

rolled through the lot to find my baby sitting just outside the bay door sitting uber 4x4 with no transmission in it :(

After listening to the Grom audio input this morning on my way to work (new Beastie Boys album=awesome) I have to say I'm more impressed than I thought I would be with the cable. Audio quality direct from the radio or from a cd is OK in the stock MS6 system, but for some reason playing from my iphone through the stock Bose system is crystal clear with good bass and tight treble. I'm sure there's a reason for this, but regardless....it sounds great!

installed kmd fuel pump internals last night on my speed 6. started it this morning and it seemed ok. gonna take it for a drive after work tonight to see how it holds better

well i just installed the kmd internals so i dont think the speed 6 is going away lol

my girl and i work together and use her rav 4 to go everywhere. my car is a weekend driver. still has 20,700 miles on it. she wanted something thats fun to drive. we looked at the subaru legacy and the cx-7 but after her and i driving the speed 3 several times we both agreed that this is something we want to drive on an everyday basis. so it will be our new everyday driver for us. we have already talked about getting some small performance parts like a corksport short ram intake/inlet and a better bpv and window tint. other than that i dont believe we want to do much more than that. we agreed not to have an exhaust as my exhaust can be very loud at times. oh and since i have a tmic and i plan on going fmic i was going to put the su tmic on the car as well lol but thats if it fits. but thats it!

well i been away a few days i know, cause i been scrambling to deal with a few big work issues AND...

my car decided to start dumping Power Steering Fluid ALL over the engine bay.
I had originally suspected the house & clamp from the resevoir... alas i took it into the dealership to get confirmation and perhaps get a cheap (for a dealership) repair. Now they are telling me the whole PS Pump itself is leaking, the housing seams are splitting and the pressure squirts it all over the engine.

@!#$@%! and i thought it coudlnt get worse, they want over $1000, of which $750 is for a new OEM pump, the rest is misc parts and labor.
*sigh* i cant get a break, after two accident repairs i have my first major repair job.
I am pursuing self install, just bought a slightly used OEM PS pump, gonna be the misc hoses/clamps from dealership and install myself.

My past cars, these jobs were fairly easy, anyone ever attempt this on the MS6? it doesnt look overlly difficult to pull the pump off... i just worry about re-tensioning the belt correctly.

no warranty left i take it?

Ok thanks, it must just be the angle of the picture because it doesn't look like it sticks out that far from the bumper. Looks killer either way though.
