CNT racing exhaust review!!

Just wanna know how many ppl r using CNT catback or turbo back! I just installed my CNT turbo back yesterday, I mean it's good quality for its price,but I have 2 small problem with it,1st the sound,it sound pretty low almost like stock(I have catted turbo back),2nd the tip is kinda toward to left and touching the rear bumper.I was thinking about replacing the muffler with straight pipe for better sound(would I get drone for removing muffler?)also I would try to bend that tip a lil so it won't touch the rear

I got my CNT exhaust a few days ago, gonna install tomorrow. I sorta dig the angled tip. I am currently running stock CBE minus one reso and a test pipe. The tone is great, the drone is not. From vids and posts, I think the CNT will give me a similar sound with much less drone. We shall see!

That's ultimately why I didn't go with the CNT. I went with the Magnaflow, it's probably louder, which I didn't really want, but I really don't mind. And the tip. Magnaflow just looks better... plus, I got the Magnaflow for $450 SHIPPED.

they will all drone give or take...but I know for a FACT that Racing beat and (discontinued) Cobb CBE does NOT.....and I believe GHL, but I read some really bad reviews on their build quality.

i was having same set up like urs, after installed CNT the sound r totally lower almost like stock,it gain a lil deeper tone sound when reach 5k rpm, but mostly is quite.i really want the sound like subi, but dunno what to do(replaced it muffler with straight pipe or put in different brand of muffler)?by the way im happy with my choice $359 shipped with that quality and an easy installation(except 1 bolt needs to put in first on the lower left dp ), that bolt got me tripping other than that is like a cake!!

if you want it to sound like a suby then you need to buy a suby...it's almost IMPOSSIBLE to replicate a boxer engine sound from a "traditional" inline.

I had similiar problems when i first installed my CNT Racing CBE with my ebay downpipe, but after installing the CNT Racing catted downpipe the alignment for the tip sticking out the back of the car was centered and not touching the black plastic of the bumper.

On a side not I have several vids on youtube of how it sounds for anyone that's interested in the set-up/sound.

haha, if you want your car to sound more like a suby in-car....get the TRZ tranny mount. It changes the in-car exhaust tone quite a bit.

i meant deep tone sound...i have seem an ms3 owner with pg manifold that sound almost like subi, maybe cause unequal manifold length??

Just got my CNT, very nice, definitely killed the really bad drone I had with the stocker minus a reso.
MS3 GT, Personally, I wouldn't hack into that brand new exhaust you just put on. If I were you, I would run the stocker minus a reso or two, that would be louder. Just my two cents I guess. I was running the stocker minus a reso and it was nice, but the CNT retains the throatyness and takes the volume down just hair.

I was already having headache with my stock exhaust that's y I went for CNT.but the sound isn't what I expected(I need sound not noise to keep me awake),however I don't
Mind modified the CNT exhaust eventhough it's brand new,I just want something different plus I can weld it for free at my friends shop!!U know....

That would created drone...? CNT only come with one resonator and a huge junk eBay muffler,I think replace it with magnaflow muffler would make huge different than cut out the resonator ..,?maybe it just my 2 cent!!!

I understand that,but not for my taste. The only reason that makes want to do that cause it won't cost me much just pay for the parts since I was already had fitment problem(making clunk Noise when starting in cold,I have to put double tap on the side of tip so it won't scratch the bumper to make that clunk noise)!
