NEMOC Random BS Thread

Part of me wants to do OCC again... but at the same time, I get kinda bored standing around a parking lot. I know... it's the afterparty that's the whole point...

-5 outside this morning. There is some ice lodged somewhere weird underneath the forester. I can hear it rattling around underneath my center armrest. It would be nice if it would melt.

I think I'm to the point where none of me wants to do OCC again. It's gone severely downhill since the first couple meets.

Well... that and a lot of the folks from other forums that go to it don't really think too highly of me. Probably because I publicly said what I think of them...

Well... I personally don't care what they think. I just don't feel like dealing with BS, ya know?

Morning all.

I hear you Phen. Was not impressed the last time we went. There are other events I would rather attend

Morning NEPOC!!! Still waiting to hear from the adjuster but I found a shop to do the work...recommended by my bro-in-law so I know they do good work.

We've got forced air...but it's a big house. Been setting the heat at 60 when we're out and 66 when we're home.

Ouch....like Bruce said, I'd look into getting it checked...that seems a bit much for that type of heat with where you have your settings....

Well, after LRP, there is the 6 hour Glen race and the cost is only $20.00 for the entire weekend! We will be hosting a corral as well, not as fancy as the LRP weekend of course, but we'll have parade laps and other goodies as well. I will be meeting with Mazdaspeed reps and Mazda USA Club reps for our 2011 Corrals. LRP will be huge this year....so will VIR and Mid-Ohio. I will update you guys with the info when I get back from Daytona....

Chris, sounds like you need a review of your heating system. Had mine done by the gas company. Lot of it was free and the rest was covered by government subsidies.
Previous owners installed high-eff propane furnance in '07. I'm not sure where the heat is going but it's a big house and so far we are on-par with the utility bills they provided us from last year.

I had a stroke of genius yesterday. We got two new bookshelves for the living room shipped to us from JCPenny. Everything was packed between large sheets of 1" to 1.5" thick styrofoam. I used hot glue and a utility knife to make a canopy entirely of styrofoam. I put it in the attic over the fold-down stairs to create a better seal. I hope it stops the air from escaping the house and provides a little more insulation from the cold up there. I also adjusted the programmable thermostat to drop to 60 at night instead of 62.

That's what I mean. The gas company did a test to see how well the house was insulated and sealed. They redid the attic insulation and did a leak test and closed up some other gaps. Didn't cost me a dime.

They also gave me a new attic seal.

Sounds great man, I'd like to know the dates so I can put them on my calendar and arrange my schedule.

ahahahaha, thats funny Josh.

Ok, I'm in need of new head unit and come across Pioneer MVH-P8200BT

Any other suggestion or comment ..... ?

I kinda like that. I have the AVIC-D3 in the MSM right now. Damn touch screen has stopped working. Pisses me off. Pay a grand on a head unit for it's main function to stop randomly after 3 years. Oooh well, it really didn't fit in the MSM anyway. This may be a good replacement...

I am going to be looking for a new deck soon. I have an Alpine CDA-105 which is a great deck, I just want in dash gps......
