mmmm... very good point as well, didnt think of that. maybe its a combination of BOTH!
We should really get to the bottom of this, SCOOBY STYLE!!!

I don't have a wide-band so i couldn't tell you, but overall, she runs better now than stock location. idle doesn't bog down as much and throttle seems more responsive.
bov is still loud, just not as piercing as it was on the cold side.
Ive seen some cx racing intercoolers they are nice. as far as intercoolers go, ebay is the bees knees! i bought my core of ebay and its PERFECT i absolutely love it. the only thing you need to watch for is some ebay cores are tube and fin... they are the poop. For me as long as its the right size, looks good, works, and is bar and fin, then im happy!im not completely worried about s*** like pressure dropping or how much tiny more horses i can get from having such and such different about my core or pipes. im not maxed at like 500HP looking to squeeze just a FEW more ponies. thats the only time i feel that matters.
Hey Valk, how does your car run with the relocated MAF? Any lean issues? I had a lean idle for some reason when I relocated, and it was about the same distance from the TB.
relocating ur maf doesn make ur idle lean.. Check ur egr and clean maf..
its a theory, but the temp change shouldn't make a profound difference. I'm thinking it may be because the IC baffling changes the flow characteristics upon decompression whether the BOV is between the compressor and it, or on the other side of the compressor.
It was weird I agree, but since I tried relocating I have replaced the EGR with the CDM version and cleaned the MAF several times with the spray can you find at autozone and such. Maybe I'll try switching it again later today and see if it still goes lean.
I did see the tube and fin, wasn't sure what that was all about. Thanks for the heads up. This is the one I'm probably getting.

Looks like a good drop in size for better fitment, but should still provide good performance.
Just seafoamed my engine. I seem to be missing my upper left manifold bolt.
.
I love how you have your pipes ran. I plan on doing that when i get the 505 cold air intake box. Do you have any more pics of how you ran the pipes in the engine bay?
yea..nothing against those who have CX racing cores, but when my brother had extra parts laying around I threw his core on my car
and man, it was terrible, big difference in spool up, car felt a ton slower, so the quality of the core plays a big role
if you get a cx racing kit, at least just get the pipes and run a decent quality IC, theres a huge difference
