Mazda5 Wheel Fitment & Photo Guide

19x9.5 rims will have the tire sidewalls grinding away on the struts and the tread burning away on the wheelwells. Gotta love it.

My winters - might as well add them to the list.

We picked up these as an inexpensive set for winter tires. In the end we really like them, and they have held up well over the last two winters. Stock size 17" from Fastwheels Replika line. Direct bolt-on with no centering rings required (hub-centeric). Tires are Nankang SV1 snows 205-50R-17.

Hey all
First Post
I have a chance to pick up some gently used Blizzaks 225/50r 17's for $500 - I think they'll fit the stock rim any thoughts/opinions??

Used Blizzaks first about 15 years ago and I loved the grip. They wore quickly and were soon just all seasons, but that first winter-wow.

Hello!

Does anybody know if this rim will fit my mazda 5? It's an 18" wheel for Mazda 6 2009. I think stock tire size is 225/45-18. I have no lowering on my car and I don't plan to install it. I can't find any information about the offset of this rim. Does anybody know? The price for this wheel set are very great (new dunlop tires) so it would be great if these would fit. Please help!

I picked up a brand new (less than 2 months on the guys car) set of 2010 speed3 wheels and tires and they bolted right on no problems. I am not lowered and do not plan to. the wheels are 18 x 7.5, and the tires I went with are P225/40R18. I have zero issues with them, no rubbing etc. I am pretty sure you wont have any issues with the 225/45's. If your interested I put pic's up in this thread.

Do you know the offset of your speed3 wheels?

That would be great! If it's possible, could You take a photo of the inside of the wheel and the strut. I'm curious about the distance between the wheel and the strut. Can you tell how much distance there is?

205/55R16 Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D tires.

Makes the brakes seem bigger. not a lot of room with 16'' wheels.

Hi!
anybody know if 17x7.5 offset 42 rims will fit to mazda5?
what will be the posible issues?
can spacer help to make it fit?
Thanks!

The wheel should fit but the wheel will come closer to the fender with a spacer. With a high offset the wheel/rim will sit deeper in the wheel well. If you put on spacers you will lower the offset. As I wrote in a post earlier in this thread I have a 18x7,5 inch offset 60 rim. The wheel (tire+rim) where very close to the strut but with the 18x7,5 offset 50 there is more space to the strut so the 17x7,5 offset 42 should work just fine.

Hope this will help you! :-)

Alex you will be better off using the 42 offset without the spacers as the spacer will actually make it closer to the fender walls much the same effect as a lower offset. Ideal offset for the mazda5 is 45mm but maybe yo could get away with 42.
