I dont know what kind I should get! Whats a good brand to go with? Anyone have photos of their stereo that they can share?

What Kits/Stereos fit best.

I am thinking of getting a Pioneer Double Din and a Scosche adapter Bezel.
Anyone have any experience (good or bad) with fits.

The fit will be the same on all of them, DIN, double DIN, and ISO are standard measurements

Anybody have any experience with the one from kenwood?

I love it :)

I wish I could find one that had an output for 6 speakers and the sub(front doors, back doors, and back window) does anyone know of one that has this? I'm begining to think that they don't make them :(

Amped speakers, or just running off deck power? Just splice your rear speaker wire. Rear speakers are mostly gonna be fill sound anyhow. If they're amped... well, I can't really think of any 6 channel amps but use a splitter for the RCAs? As for brand... Pioneer is great. JVC is utter s***. I hate my JVC, the only reason I'm keeping it is because the nav and handsfree are indispensable to me. I miss my Pioneer soooooooo much.

Clarion, Kenwood Excelon, Eclipse, and Alpine also make awesome HUs. I've even heard good things about the Power Acoustik for a budget double DIN.

I was gona go ampd but I was price checking stuff and it'd be too expensive. Even on ebay only decent double din stereos are 700+ and then amps and speakers... I'm just gona hope a stereo will help my speakers I have my subs turned almost all the way down because they drone out everything hits hard though for a nice massage :)

You can get a good Pioneer for $480. Hell, I'm selling mine. PM me and I'll give you a shipped price.

Not buying yet sorry but I have an mp3 and its the wifes so she's making me keep everything kenwood :/ imo kenwood sucks I went with polk audio for the subs but I got lucky I also have to make sure it has red lights so that it matches the dash lights I hate rules

You can splice the speaker wires and Y off, but if you do. You need to put a speaker cap on the positive wire for each of the two additional speakers. The headunits amplifier won't see the ohm load on the speaker after the cap. The ohm load that the each of the rear channels sees is 4 ohms, which is what it wants. I'd use a 200hz @ 4ohm cap and put them on the rear 6.5" in the doors. All the rears won't be as loud as the fronts because you're spreading the power around, but like someone said the rear speakers are for fill mainly. Hope that helps.

I think my biggest problem is the cheapo head unit. I've already figured out price wise its not worth doing that and runing it like that can burnout the amp in the stereo cause its drawing more power than what it can put out. I also have an mp3 so no 6.5 for me I'm stuf with 5x7 and 6x8. That is untill I get bored with a dremel and make room for to 8" :) thtl fix it

I dunno what Kenwood you're using, man. The stock Kenwood unit is actually really decent. Most units you're gonna use are all gonna be 12-17 watts RMS per channel with 24 bit DA converters. Only difference will be high and low pass filters, and whatever kind of built in EQ. Also, once you get into amped speakers you'll wanna look for high volt pre-outs but other than that.... fairly run-of-the-mill.

Also, get some ABS and just cut a 6" adapting plate. There's you're 6" speaker hole.

Ya I'm not a stero guy no idea what any of that means but its not the original stock one it came from walmart for 70 bucks I think the biggest annoyance is the plastic piece tht covers the 6x9s up rattles like a mofo would styrofoam fix it? As in push it up so tht it doesn't come into contact with the metal
