Single or Double Din?!

Are manufactured refurbs as good as brand new?

I just got a clarion double din in the mail, and im unimpressed with the quality, looks and feels cheap.

Im looking at a jvc refurb and dont know if its worth switching out.

Jvc sucks stick with the better brands planet audio is new to me but worked great when I had it wish id kept it

if you wanna amp your front + rear speakers and run a sub consider checking out the alpine mrp-300/600 amps, they got your front/back rca input, a high pass filter and a set of rcas to connect your sub amp to. personallly im running a pioneer avic u310b running alpine type s 6x8 in the front and type s 5.5 rounds in the rear, and a mrp-500 powering an alpine 12" type r, i really wanna amp my speakers though, because they are definitely capable of handling more power then the deck can push to them, just need the time and money to do a clean install :)

Clarion, from my experience (only tried out 2 of their HU's but myself and a friend of mine both sell them at different companies) actually makes pretty decent head units. JVC I can tell you from personal and sales experience is utter garbage. Trust me man, I do everything in my power to talk people out of buying JVC decks and they pay me the most. I hate my JVC. My Pioneer was awesome. My Clarion wasn't quite as good as the Pioneer but I still liked it. Which one did you get?

stjohans - good choice, I love my type S alpines... got them for $40 a pair :D

I would go with clarion

Probably better off checking out a car stereo forum for more opinions and facts for that matter on what's good and what's not.

As for single or double. Depends if you plan on using that second spot for something else. There are times I wish I had that second slot open.

Ya I know my speakers can hold more thanks to mazda beefing up the mp3s sound :) as far as subs go I've got 2 12" polk audios and they do great a little too great... but I'm not even pushing them all I have is a 400watt amp pushing them both. I'm gona start buy getting a head unit with preouts for front rear and sub. I know rockford makes head units anybody have any experience with them? Should they stick with badass subs and amps

I'm on my 2nd clairion HU. I love them. Very good sound quality. There is a steep learning curve though.
