What have you done to your P5 today?

Ok, maybe I should change it from "nice tits" to "big tits" lol. She looks kinda weird to me in general. I'm probably butchering the quote to begin with...

Confused at the terminology? HPDE stands for "High Performance Driving Event" and "Hyperdrives" are essentially HPDE-light, great for folks just looking to get their feet wet. Here is HPDE-Group1 (beginner) in action

I always drive flat out. I need to be in the fastest group. It's holding me back not being in the top group. I own a Koenisegg & a GT2.

^^Lol, "Why not, I paid twice. I should be able to drive twice as much as everyone else."
"I didn't point you by because I assumed you would crash in front of me or burst into flames"

that's an epic video

thinking of pulling my magnaflow off and motor mount inserts for the winter. getting kinda sick of the droning since all i do is highway driving. they would all go back in for spring/summer fun :D

I put my Mazdaspeed axle back on today, took on a fun run yesterday. It was my first time doing any spirited driving with it, I was impressed for a factory car thats 7 years old.

The Proteges are quite fun to drive stock. Just don't expect the car to ever be very fast, and you'll be golden.

Are you doing any of the HPDE's or just the hyperdrives? If you want to get your friends together and "Drive on track at a relatively fast pace" (be careful, they don't like it when you refer to HPDE or Hyperdrives as racing) then you are going to want to get into at least HPDE2. Not sure what its like at Mid Ohio, but at VIR and Summit Point the hyperdrives are more like parade laps at 75-80mph, even HPDE1 can be that way at times.

Regardless, glad to see you're on track, Mid-Ohio is on my to-do list.

Well, I did a Hyperdrive a few months ago at Mid-Ohio (my frist one) and it was certainly WOT and not a parade lap speed. And that's why I put "race" in quotes. I know it's not real racing. But I'm sure if more of my Mazda friends started doing the Hyperdrive they would get more into HPDE's. I would like to do HPDE1 but honestly, I can't afford it. Tires, wear and tear on the car and the weekend fees are pretty steep. That's why the Hyperdrives are perfect. $60 and you can sit in on all the HPDE classes and run the track WOT with an instructor. Can't beat that. :)

Don't get me wrong, I think hyperdrives are great, they really bridge the gap for folks. But once you jump into hpde, its hard to settle for a hyperdrive. I may have exaggerated a bit, but I know in our hyperdrives there's always a train forming around the course and everyone is really only WOT on the straights, making it tough to string nice corners or even get a full lap down. Is passing permitted in your hyperdrives? I don't believe they allow that in our region. Either way, at least you're out on track; be sure to take car of that FS though unless you're itching to join the KL train that much faster :p

Take some video next time out (if you haven't already) and post it up. Always fun to watch someone elses track experience.

Ordered an OEM replacement rear mount yesterday and planned out the shipments for a bunch of stuff from my FS thread. Spending the entire work day on campus in class and studying prevents me from getting the materials I need to ship stuff out. Hope to have stuff ready and shipped soon.

Going to be swapping the BC's for stock suspension, getting rid of the front and rear corksport strut bars, taking off the progress rear sway to ship out, and installing the new rear motor mount all this saturday at Evans and he doesn't even know that I'm doing half that yet lol. The car will be mostly back to stock by the end of this weekend and everything that was paid for by anyone should be shipped out.

Also made a decision that the next car will be a CWP speed3. Probably an 09 but possibly an 08.5. That's coming in march. I'm gonna be a happy camper :D

Good choice. I'm shooting for a 07-08 lotus exiege. It depends
If I buy a house or buy an apartment.

anybody seen a cat delete pipe (test pipe) for our cars? OBX claims to make one but I cant even find a record of them outside their website

Well, I've only been to 2 NASA track days at Mid-Ohio this year and both Hyperdrives were about 10 cars on track. My friend told me to line up first in line so I wouldn't get stuck behind slow people, but it turned out to be the other way around. haha. I had 4-5 fully prepped race cars behind me so I let them all go past. Passing is allowed in Hyperdrive (at Mid-Ohio, at least) but as you know, the first car has to wave the passing car ahead. It's not wheel-to-wheel racing.

My friend will probably be organizing an all Mazda track time at one of the NASA days or hopefully we can get a whole day at the track. I know a few of my friends are great drivers and it would be nice to drive quickly on the track, safely. That's what i'm pushing for. :)
