What have you done to your Miata today?

are we still talking about cars?

lol... jared in TLT posted a quote from nasioc not to long ago that is fitting

"i knew my girl was dumb when i asked he if my butthole opened like a star trek door and she wasn't quick enough to realize i was going to fart in her face when she looked"

Well that should be good for what, like close to 50 more whp? That big enchilada kit is good for 220 at the wheels, right?

220-225 on a Dynojet

200-205 on average on a Mustang. The place that's tuning it is using a Mustang.

GOing to get a new clutch master cylinder and slave tonight.

Josh and I get to attempt install as well as shifter rebuilds on both cars

Is it tomorrow yet? I'm ready to load my car up and have an autocross tomorrow... but it's not tomorrow yet so I can't :(

Hopefully this fixes clutch problem

Then i just need to figure out suspension and overheating problem as well as idle problem and then i'm ready for auto-x

Drove the daylights out of her today. Then tonight I pulled the Fiamms off the 8 and installed the ones that were on it when we bought it. Removed the Hellas from the Miata and installed the Fiamms, much better. I also tried replacing the driver's side foglight bulb but it still isn't working. Attached the two stiffeners for the foglight brackets to the body where they belonged (was missing a couple of nuts), and put the missing retainer on the driver's side headlight. Unfortunately I dropped one of the headlight bolts and couldn't find it, so I'm calling it a night and will give it another shot tomorrow.

Just got word that mine is on its way to Pittsburgh right now to get tuned. When I get updates, I'll update you guys.

Ended up pulling off the crossover tube from the supercharger to the intake manifold, and removing the cold airbox to have a better look around on the exhaust side of the engine. Good thing I did as the airbox had a bunch of sand in it (from long ago by the looks of it). Still couldn't find the damn bolt, finally went to pull the headlight again and I heard a noise, looked and there it was. Guess it just wanted me to work for it! So I cleaned everything up including the air filter and put it all back together. Also removed the yellow overhose on the throttle cable. I'm not happy with how the throttle cable is run but I don't know if it needs to be that way for the supercharger. Going to do some research to see if I can reroute it. I also flipped the stopper on the passenger seat rail to give that extra inch or so of legroom.

wow... nice. hey... can mine magically get turbod and turned into a manual if i go somewhere for a while?

lol I know right? Crazy how that works!

his roommates must be bored... or they owe him something.

his lil brother got to pick it up last night and bring it back to Pittsburgh, then taking it to get it tuned tomorrow, and i dont owe him anything, i almost feel like i owe him something for getting to drive this thing for a couple days (even if it is just from ohio to pa, and to the shop then back to ohio) haha

here she is sitting safe and sound at my place

Busy day with the Miata and once again, I am good! Received the 2000 Tribute radio w/CD changer today so pulled it apart. The ad said there was something loose inside which was readily apparent. When I pulled it apart I found out it was 36 cents in change! Guess someone's kid thought that was a good place to put it. Also it was pretty dusty-dirty, maybe from down south? So I cleaned things up and swapped out the changers. Swapped over the cassette deck door (so mine would still say Bose) on the front panels and assembled it all up. Put that sucker in, and it works! So for all you early NB owners who want a double DIN radio, possibly with a 6 disc changer, look for a 2000 626 or Tribute radio and you won't have to make any pigtails for it to work. If you need a Bose those are available too. It is truly plug and play.

installed new clutch master cylinder and clutch slave with the help of jc-mx5

Hooray for a clutch pedal that engages midway instead of about 2mm from the floor.

Also Josh swapped shifters with me since mine wasn't THAT bad, but i already had the shifter rebuild kit, so i've got a freshly rebuilt shifter in mine and josh has my old one

On a side note, Muff, i fail at heel-toe cause my pedals exactly like Josh's, so i gotta practice

Also swapped out the HVAC controls and put in one from the 96 parts car i got all my goodies from. Interior's cleaner without a busted up HVAC

Also dremeled out the switch blank by the cruise control and reran my wiring for the fogs so it's in a legit location instead of hanging down under the steering column

Then did an oil change
