What have you done to your MSP today?

wires are about 6 months old, same as the spark plugs, coils just went out borrowed some from my buddy, but they are used. i hope its not the coils again, as soon as im trying my 1.8 coil swap

idk. imay try my other friends coils and see if that changes things. i just looked at 1.8 coils.....they are fn expensive

I finally got my heatshield off to reveal one broken and three missing bolts on the exhaust manifold. That is the source of my huge exhaust leak. Now I have to pull the mani off to get the broken bolt out, then all new hardware and gaskets. Plus the car threw a CEL today, P0340 which is a camshaft position sensor code. And I need to replace the timing belt, cover, tensioner, and water pump. Plus the pass. motor mount which should be here thursday. This car is a money pit.

Drove it to the dentist and back before work (bout 80 miles total, dentist is in my hometown). Pretty much beat on it the whole time. not because I have anything against the dentist, but it was low 60's, moderate humidity, and the car was runnin great on 8 lbs... so I let her fly.

Also pretty sure a piece of the RF fender liner finally ripped as I'm hearing weird plasticy flapping noises in left turns... gonna need to look into that at some point.

One of the plastic pieces that cover the bottom of the engine bay came off on my car doing about 60 and it chewed up the inside wall of my LF tire..

as far as I know, our cars whether it is an MSP or not, the front ends are practically the same right? So, it doesn't matter if it's an MSP, MP5, MP3, or whatever it may be, it is more than likely the same type of fender liner in all of them. It really gets old hearing the whole "your car isn't an MSP" argument. The way I see it, if you boosted a 2.0 protege, it's close enough because overall, they are all the same, just a protege. What is the MSP? A regular protege with a turbo kit thrown on it, some light suspension mods, paint job, new bumper and side skirts, rims, and some crappy tuning. But enough of that,

what did I do to mine today...absolutely nothing. My PROTEGE is still at the body shop, they say it will be done by tomorrow or thursday. But they also said it would be done last Friday. So, I will be going up for the third time tomorrow to check on it. Can't wait to get it back though, got some tuning to do.

when driving my car to day i started hearing a squeak noise when i hit the gas pedal and getting a clunk in the rear (at least i know what that is)

Today the car cut out while driving a couple times and once while it was sitting it died. It threw another P0340 CEL which is related to the CMP and CKP sensors. Turns out the plug for the CKP sensor was loose, I reconnected it and it runs great, especially in the weather we've been having.
I also got my AWR passenger side motor mount in the mail today, I can't wait to put it on.

LOL, somebody hit a nerve? I agree though. Hell most of our "MSPs" should not even be considered that anymore anyway. I know most of us that modded removed alot of what made the car an MSP in the first place and replaced with better performing perfomance parts, not to mention body modifications and etc. LOL

Oh yeah, I seafoamed using a Fuel Injection Service drip IV. It was a whole lot easier to do that way and seemed to work as well or better.

According to AllData
Oil pan - 14-18 ft/lbs
Flywheel - 71-75 ft/lbs
Pressure Plate - 14-19 ft/lbs

The bell housing bolts have several different torque specs depending on location.
