Ricktalife's EPIC fails and maybe a build thread too

okay I made a new map, changed over all the settings from the superstockmap and made the fuel map straight 10's...but the idle didn't change so I'm guessing the AFC is not my problem.

well, the AFC (on superstockmap settings) doesn't come active until you're in boost, so that sounds logical. nice to have that eliminated though.

worth a try, anyways. with the map restored to factory, you have the MSP tune? (not in theory, in reality. you know the tune as soon as you get on the gas)

hard to tell with the weather change lately. but I'm sure I'll notice the massive bogging when it comes back.

edit: oh and what is the easiest way to reset the ECU?

Oh i thought it had to be disconnected longer than that. Cool thanks. Also I've noticed it is driving a little too good right now (that may sound weird)...considering the AFC should be disabled. I may have to recheck it to make sure there is in fact a blank map loaded because I haven't gotten any hesitation yet. Though as I said the weather is really screwy with our cars.

true and not true at the same time...the SSAFC has the over pressure setting...but it doesnt really do anything
if you adjust a cell in vac, it'll still effect the way the car drives, so you can tune in vac and boost, with the overpressure still set to 1 or 7 or whatever you have it at

supermap has no cells adjusted that low...

Well I took out the EGR valve tonight but it is completely rusted and I can't get the screws out to get it apart...so I think I'll look for a new one. I might check the dealer price just out of curiosity.

if youre ordering a replacement EGR, be sure to get the canadian one. rockauto has it, i think its around 130. those have never failed or needed to be broken down, but the USDM ones will fail again when exposed to salt and the elements.
