What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

Picked up the wheels from the repair place. These things are going to look awesome on the car.

ordered some Continental EXtremeContact DWS 225-45/R18s. 91Y SL should be more than enough for this car. The lady quoted me $955 for everything despite the manager quoting me $860 for the same tires in 235-40 just last week. Lets hope that I can get the lower price still

possibly snagged a sponsor, will help me with track expenses the more i do it.
was contacted by a local track event company that wants to work with me...

AND

i'm running track again sept 17th!!!! new track, so ill have to learn new lines... cant wait!
tires are still good, brakes are still golden, will have to double check lines, oil, brake fluid & coolant this weekend. then full self tech inspection.

drove home yesterday from work in my chilled 75F office.
Car said it was 108F outside. i hate cali summers, real bad. Not as harsh closer to the coast though, wish i was there at least! hope it cools off a LOT before track day, and i really really want to upgrade my TMIC and the power steering cooler for such reasons!

damn not bad of pulls taylor! 0-60 times on this car arent teh bestest stock.
but you seem to have been improving your reaction times as well as backed by some beefy mods. :)

if you go with an MS6 on ANY offset different than stock, you WILL need a rear fender roll.

this includes the rx8 wheels on 225/40's.
doesnt sound like jdw1 is lowered.

I'm lowered on rpm streets with 225/45's on my rx8s and I've never had a rub even with 2 grown ass fellas in the back.

I will trade you spots. I miss San Diego. :(

Yes. I used a heat gun to stretch and make the vinyl contour to the panels. I took heat to the edges to wrap them to the sides. After inside the car the edges pulled up in some spots. I think the best thing to do is just use a light coat of superglue and hold it in place til it dries. (sadbanana)

yeah, dont get overly excited and do the window control panel. trying to put the carbon in under the switches in that contour was a nightmare. I used clear fingernail polish on the spots where it overlaps so that its not as sharp an edge for the nail to catch and peel up.

I have put some (stupid) thought into wrapping the hood in carbon fiber... but that might just be too much work... Same with the mirrors. The stuff just looks awesome

The hood wouldnt be too hard with 2 people. but it would be close to 200 bucks for a piece that large.

Picking up my new dimmer switch tomorrow. I hope it makes my interior lights work. I also got a friend of mine trying to set up a run against a guy that just bought a new Evo X. I am just trying to find a good day to go to the strip. Maybe this will end up on youtube. :D

Question guys, how much for a DP install in your areas and did you get Mazda to do it or a reg mechanic?

Its even funner to do it yourself. Took me and my dad 3.5 hours to do it. Considering it takes most people 5+ hours multiply that by how much a shop charges an hour.

^^^ Word, im thinking of trying to put on my rear shocks before i leave

im just curious anyone know of like a MS6 Forums STicker anyone can buy from anywhere?!

I got the ATP full length w/hi flo cat. Should it bolt right up? 3-4 hrs may be worth the 200 the shop is prob going to charge me. Any how to's out there?

^ i want free stuff!

lol so do i!!! sponsor's dont often give free parts, maybe stickers or swag but uh. thats it? lol

Oh im sorry, i should have said any offset smaller than stock MS6 wheels will rub! And of course, same or larger wheel width. the rx8 wheels are 8in wide but only a 50mm offset, which makes up for the width increase... aka still no rubbing issues.

Maybe longer. Keep in mind I had the corksport shorty down pipe which I could put in from the top. Im not sure if the full length one would even be able to go from the top. I highly doubt it. But this is a good time to change your exhaust manifold if you plan on it. (whistle)

installed fog light overlays by rsvinylgraphics

Great color and very easy install!
