damn, 28 mpg out of a turbo car? You and Phen need to get together sometime so he can show you what fuel consumption REALLY is LOL

Oh, we have. Hahaha.

I filled up last night and pulled almost 27. I was happy. It's been since the Daytona trip that I pulled mileage like that.

Got 31mpg on my last tank with virtually no interstate driving and minimal stop-and-go.

Back a long time ago when I'd actually track the mileage on it, I'd get 35 mpg going to and from autocross events lol

after my last auto x my combined was 25

How in hell are you guys getting such good mpg? I'm right at 24 no matter what I do.

Does the msmx5 like to coast in gear or in neutral? My Mazda6 shuts of injectors when coasting in gear above a certain speed but I don't know if the miata does...

Costing in neutral is the worst. lol.

When I went up north last month I got 200mi to a half but I of course only partially filled up so I was unable to figure the mpg but I'm guessing 34mpg, give or take.

I'll never know :'(

You can't do (200miles)/(gallons filled)? (dunno)

I've gotten 305 miles on a tank in my MSM on the way to Daytona. That came to almost 29 mpg, and mine is nowhere near stock and nowhere near tuned.

WTF (well I am using AC most all the time currently and my gas is 10% ethanol)

I have two bent wheels from the previous owner and Falken Ziex 912 currently. Soon I'll have 205/50 Kumho ASX on 15x7 Rewinds for winter and will attempt to fiddle with tire pressures after that. I'm at 40k with all fresh fluids so next year it'll probably be timing belt and tune up time.

I had a full tank, did 250mi, only got a partial fill due to lack of funds, then did a full fill a few hundred miles later after I got home.

correction, I GOT 305m. your ass was passed out in the passenger seat (lol2)

but totally agree on the NO WHERE near stock or tuned....

60-65 mph on the highway with the top up. I dunno, it just worked. Haha. Cruising at highway speeds, my AFRs sit at 14.6-14.8. It was in all honesty, a straight highway tank. Get off the highway, fill up, get back on the highway until the next stop.
