just changed my oil with a 626 k&n filter and castol syntec. going to put in my new spark plugs. do i need to grease the threads and if so, what grease do i use.

Ordered NGK spark plug wires from Amazon, replace my tired old coil packs and received two issues of Import Tuner in the mail. Nice models but they need more Mazdas!!

dielectric grease is what I used on my plugs. Make sure you put some on the tops of them where it connects to the packs. Makes it easier to remove and connects it better electrically.

Oh and I retract my statement about making a better electrical connection. It is non-conductive. It protects from oxidation, dirt, blah blah blah.

Installed a clothes line to dry my laundry. Thanks again for your old strut bar, Fish!

so just put in my new plugs, havnt run the car much but im sure it will be very nice.

i just changed my oil and when i emptied out my pan into the old quart containers, there was only about 3 quarts. On friday i checked the level of oil in the car and it was still at the full line that it was at when I changed it last. did something go wrong this time or do you never empty out 3.7 quarts that you put into it. i cant recall

Put a cover on the knob so it's not hot/cold. Or stop being sissies. ;)

I have a skunk2 550g knob.

But i like being a sissy (ugh) I've been thinking about making a cover if i end up getting a metal one.

Anyone know how much a momo airleather knob weighs? cant find it on their site. although... i was looking on the canadian site, maybe they have more info on the u.s. site.

when its real hot i just deal with the heat with my hand on the knob for a few minutes and the temp starts to go down and its tolerable.

when its cold there is no winning unless you put a sock over it, like i do.

I've got a mx-6 rear strut bar sitting in my room that I need to install. Just been lazy lately... That and the brackets on the bar I got, are not how they looked in the pics and they're not exactly what I had planned for.

Just fyi, use a full 4 qts. No point in not using the end of the last bottle... 3.7qts is silly, lol. Also, you will never get as much oil back out, as you put in. You always lose some oil wearing into parts, burning off during the combustion process, etc... Losing up to 1 qt per oil change isn't uncommon. If you start burning through more than that, then that's not good and you should decrease your oil change intervals.

I bet it's gotta be much harder to install in the sedan. Wagons and hatches are cake. Bring it with you to the cookout and we can install it.

Ya, it's a bit trickier. If I don't get it done before the cook out, which is very likely, lol. Then I'll bring it with me. What do you guys have as far as hole saws go? I've got a 1 1/4" that should be perfect for it... It's what I used to cut holes in my foglight housings for the HIDs.

okay, i just wanted to make sure. usually I empty my old oil into a milk jug or something because i buy my oil in a 5 quart jug. this time i got 5 single quarts in a deal from advance auto so i was able to see how much oil came out of the motor this time.
