What have you done to your P5 today?

Kind of a busy day today. Sprayed the CS strut bar brackets gold to match VC and installed. Also sprayed my mounting kit for the coolant overflow can with black plasti-dip. Hopefully it holds up under the hood. It looks awesome right now though. Please excuse the messy, filthy engine bay. It'll be getting a big makeover one of these days. For now, enjoy...

well i just order a TWM short shifter and the shifter bushings and i also ordered a redline goods shifter boot since mine has seen better days. can't wait to get them both here and get them in my car!!!
anybody know where i can get a good weighted shift knob that isn't metal? i really like TWM's round ones but the would get way to cold in the winter, lol.

and way too hot in the summer

I've got a TWM weighted matte finish steel shift knob. I love the way it feels in my paw but you're right, too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter...

Engine bay looks great, Fish! I'm glad you're back on the forums and wrenching on the ole P5t again. (nana)

I wear black mountain biking gloves while driving in the winter. But in the summer my paws get sweaty and slip off the knob. I do like the TWM knob though and it works/looks great.

I have the "Big Type-R" version and it weighs 600grams. I had a Type-Arrrr! knob on my last Civic and liked the way it felt so I stuck with the same style for the P5.

I lied, mine is not the "Big" version, it's just the normal 440gram weight version. I never thought about having the H pattern on the knob until the tech at the alignment shop asked me where reverse was...

This pic is old but it's the same knob. It's actually a lot lower down on the shifter and the TWM logo is straight now. That was driving my OCD crazy.

ive got the blox 490 knob. just a simple dark blue sphere knob. and yes super cold in the winter. my hand was wet one day getting into the car and it froze to the knob a little bit.

i like leather shift knobs so it don't burn or freeze my hand. mine was bout 25 shipped new off ebay

I've read that this mitsu knob is heavier than the stock P5 leather knob. Any truth to that? How do the shifts feel? I think it could be a good replacement if my stock one starts getting worn.
