I just got an 05 M3 hatchback, I've had an 04 sedan for a few years and decided to try out the hatch, as i like the style better. After driving for a while, i noticed the sound is horrible! I have the factory 6 cd changer. I have no idea if its bose or not (how do i tell anyways?). I assume the difference in sound has to do with the shape of the hatch?

Anyways, I'm looking to buy the Grom Ipod integration kit, which i think i'd be fine installing myself, but while i'm at it, i'd like to at least make it sound decent. I'm not looking the rattle the car with bass or have a competition setup, but some decent budget-friendly sound would be nice. I'd prefer not to spend more than a couple hundred, especially after doing the ipod integration.

After reading through the forums i'm thinking about getting new front speakers, and a powered sub for the hatch. Can anyone give me suggestions on decent quality, but inexpensive parts? I'd much rather get advice from fellow M3 owners than the guys at the car audio shop. Also, how easy would it be to install myself?
