+1 on being able to get it cheaper than $350 U.S.
I've now installed and been playing with it a bit for about a week. As previously stated by just about everybody, this is a very quick and easy install. And easy to flash back to stock.
I had a self-created issue I will now disclose, since I have solved it. I was getting some "load cut" after install. I thought it was because I was running a catless dp/rp and might have been seeing a couple pounds more boost than Hypertech's slightly increased load tables were comfortable with. Not so. Wasn't even load cut.
Turns out that the gap on my plugs (originally set at .030) after about 25,000 miles had opened up to between .035 and .038 depending on which plug I checked. I regapped them to .028 and this thing just flies now. Big smile on my face.
The big gap was allowing the high boost to blow out the spark at maximum boost at around 4,200 rpm and then the spark would kick back in when boost went down. This was acting just like load cut, but it was not. Just my plugs.
I have yet to do stop watch timing or accelerometer data logging (G-Tech Pro RR) on the new tune now that plugs are gapped correctly.
More to come, perhaps in a new thread when I get some objective data. It's 100 degrees F. here now. Not the best conditions.
And yes, for those who are interested, the tune works just fine with a catless dp/rp. I know Hypertech cannot promote that concept for legal reasons. But I thought that those of us who have gone the catless route and are wondering if it will work, the answer is YES.
And another emphatic YES to elimination of boost spike. I had been spiking to 20-21 psi with quick settle back to 17-18 psi since going with the catless dp/rp. I believe Darth suggested that this tune was taming that spike. He's right. Spike gone.
With the combo of the exhaust mods and the tune, I'm seeing 18-19 psi boost under maximum load with a nice small taper to 17 psi which holds to my normal shift point of 5,500-5,800 rpm. And as everyone has noted, there is now headroom above 6,000 rpm with a gradual boost taper to keep things safe.
