Updating my interior..

i started the upgrade and improvement on my '00 Pro 8 months ago.
Little by little and with some mishaps i was able to make it look better( in my opinion) and do this as a hobby.
Learned a lot here and there is a great deal of people that always gave me a hand and advice.
Hope you'd like it.

no,a co-worker has an upholstery bussines,a family one,so i got a good discount on it ;-)
It's not 100 % perfect,but it does the job.

i had the idea of changing the fabric on the doors since i bought this car,the previous owner used to smoke and the car had few burn spots.
I was thinking of the black vinyls with red trim,then ,one day browsing the forum i saw this thread of "show us your interior" and i saw an awesome protege with the idea i had in my head,so i did it.
It will take me some time to go and do the leather seats,new baby in the family and other priorities.

In this pics,my changing from green to red.
painted center console?hvac bezel in silver,changed the Hvac bilbs to red LEDs,drilled a hole on the side of the a/c unit(where the blue side is and added a blue LED.
changed the drive plate color to red by getting rid of the green tint with acetone,put a plastic red translucent tab on it and changed the bulb to a super red LED.
Got a black shifter form a local junkyard and replaced mine that was grey.
painted glove box in black.
Bought a mazdaspeed protege gauge cluster and added all red LEDs.

I used the zipwizard thread on this forum to learn how to change the LED light on the power widow swith,now is super red,love it!

oh btw do you have dave b rings on your instrument cluster?? i like the way the needles have the silver in them !!!

That's right,is the T178 duplicolor.
I am re-doing the window switches since the color on them is slightly different than the bezel.
I will try a different primer,maybe the adhesive promoter only and see how it goes.

Just keep in mind that this link is for those who have 2001-03 HVAC units,i end up buying a console bezel and HVAC,did the whole LED change just to find out the wiring harness was completely different from the 2000 to the 2001-03.
So ,i end up selling that back and kept mine(2000 bezel and HVAC)
