What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

Finished up not too long ago, decided to leave the lower air box off for now because of time. Won't be tough later this weekend to throw it on and finish the install.

I will have a TWM Stage 2 conversion (the upper part of the kit) and the TWM shift boot for a Stage 2 kit for sale shortly.

bought a used cobb sf because its silicone coupler is black and mine is blue. the blue looks crazy on a pc red tip and red battery top.

so i get it and the dude removed the SU logo on it but it looks bad. gouged and chopped up. really its a small blemish, and it will still work fine i'm sure. but i feel like i'm defeating the purpose of swapping the wrong color one for the right color one with a blemish.

am i crazy?

Not crazy at all Mistersix, nothing wrong with having standards . . .
Its been like Christmas this week, Ive received an Aeroforce Scan gauge, SpeedLines Badgeless grille, and CorkSports LED kit! Now just need the time to install and I cant buy that.

Monday I put the new stock pump on, and still low fuel pressure at idle. On the advice of some others I pulled the pump AGAIN to examine the cam and cam follower, and take a bunch of pics. There's a small scratch on the follower, which will have to be replaced. Thankfully the cam looks okay... there's a very small scuff on the lobe, but it's really hard to tell, both in the pics, and when I was looking at it. And my neck is still sore from trying to get my eyeball in there, lol. I checked all the fuses, and nothing. I checked the voltage going to the hpfp, and it's getting 12V (12.7V actually, but I've get the same reading checking other stuff).

I was trying to take out the back seat to try to test the wires going to the tank pump, but I was outside, and it was threatening to rain so I called it quits. That was after a long day though... on a more positive note, earlier in the day, me and a friend took off my intake mani, cleaned it w/ three cans of brake cleaner (it wasn't THAT dirty, but it wasn't clean), and then installed an SM OCC... FINALLY!!

Forzda thinks that when the first PTP HPFP s*** the bed during a WOT shift, some metal got into hard fuel line, and will need to be replaced. After the first pump s*** the bed, my idle fuel pressure dropped to ~200 PSI. Two pumps later, it's still only 200 PSI, so something definitely happened when the first pump died. Stay away from PTP's hpfp's... it's just not worth it. I'm already out a cam follower, possibly a hard fuel line, but hopefully not a cam.

EDIT: New Thread Started in Engine/Trans section w/ pics and pump timeline

Have a great Independence Day everybody!

Don't blow your fingers off. Don't drink and drive. Don't forget to use protection.

Put my car back to stock as it will be parted out then sold... Soon I'll be picking this up:

Just kidding, lol. But dear god, I cried a little when I saw that.
What I actually did today was shined up my engine bay, looks real nice and clean now :).

ideas to clean that car up.. lose all the chrome, lose the roof scoop, unless its functional by getting air into the cabin, paint the front grille inserts (white) black, replace hood, replace gas door. different wheels.. done!! its a better car. the wing doesnt look that bad from that angle, ive seen way worse.

Put in my led kit from corksport. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to change all the interior lights to led. as well as the liscence plate lights, parking lights, and even the vanity mirror lights. Came nicely packaged with instructions. :) not that I really needed them.

mmmm i have all of mine in blue.. i was suprised at the output of the lights, its actually really easy to see things even though there not white.. hows red?? i think mine looks like a airplane cockpit with the 3 different colors i got going on inside the cabin.. i dont have a good camera to get a pic of the lights but im hoping i can get a night shot sometime soon by someone with a better camera..

i just drained my OCC, not much came out of it.. maybe a 1/4 inch of fluid.. not too bad for 3 months..

taylor i checked my MAF today to make sure it was still clean after driving 100 miles with it and it was.. but i think with us being converted to blow thru, we may have to clean our MAF's every 500 miles or so..

and lastly.. my BOV hasent gotten quiter yet.. not sure why yours toned down a bit after install.. i do have the gold fin though.

Gold fin? I didnt get used to it. It really is quieter and not anywhere as crisp as it was before. I would say as loud as the forge. Maybe thats what I get for gettin it off ebay. But it was brand new. All the vacuum lines and everything are fine.

When I first go it. At idle it was staying open. I could feel cold air coming out of it. Now there isnt any air flow coming from it at idle.

edit: Even after 600 miles ofr so my MAF is still clean. I shot it with some cleaner anyways. I checked my ltft's today and it is +9 at idle. It was +1. I need to figure out what is going on for that change to happen. I have 2 codes coming off the CEL.

hmmm that is odd.. try tightening the allen bolts a half turn or a full turn or so more then they are now, maybe the allens are lose.. i know mine came loose after a few hundred miles.. but you did get it off ebay. so that could be a factor too..

i just have that stupid EGR CEL.. waiting for cobb on that one

my LTFT's settled down to +2 so far. hasent moved any after settling down.. we'll see how it does afer 600 miles..

Mine have been perfect. +1 to +3 under all conditions. I went out to check on break and it was +9. It is a lot cooler and lot less humid today than it has been for the past month. Maybe this is why. Ill check the allen heads to see what happens. Does yours have a bit of air flow coming out at idle?

Checked my codes. it is evap system leak and egr code. damn gas cap.
