Best bang for $$$$ FMIC

UG.. Came with intake an TIP..- :
- 2002 BJFW, 2007 BK3P, 1979 SA22C, 2005 BK3P
every intercooler kit which has been ordered as of today has shipped out, cores included

its the same kit with a cheaper core, this has been discussed to death. we used to use cxracing's core, where do you think they got their pipe design? there is a reason i'm no longer using their cores and am using the one i am using now.

I received my kit today everyone! ...'cept the core wasn't included.. LOL. But I emailed Ken and I guess the core and the brackets come separately.
Anyone else receive theirs today?
I'm really impressed though with how light the piping is. The box for everything below was incredibly light.

NOPE nothing for me,, (mswerd)
I just pieced together a FMIC for my 90 626 gt and it only cost me around $200 for everything...
I/C piping: $89
FMIC core: $77
90 degree reducer: $20
BOV flange pipe: $15
and the I/C piping kit came with 4 ply silicone couplers (2 90 degrees), 16 T-bolt clamps, pipe = 2-90, 2-45, 2-180 & 2 straight
the reason I went with the piping kit was becasue I wanted a certain type of FMIC, if I didnt mind you can get ones like this all day long click here

The core for mine should be here Tuesday as well. Hopefully I'll have it installed by the weekend and I can post up my review about it. Shortly after? My CPE DP 
an intercooler is just one of those mods I've never understood paying hundreds of dollars for a "kit" or name brand
I mean its aluminium pipes, silicone connectors, T-bolt clamps and a core thats it
I mean $600+ for that... seems a bit much I mean for something so basic, the core is the most complex component and as long as it holds pressure your fine
the only upside I can see to getting a pre-fabbed kit is they take the guess work out of pipe fitment, and where you will have to cut to fit then join with couplers theirs are already bent but you could always have a shop weld them together so you didnt need couplers. But thats just me I guess, just trying to be innovative to save several hundred dollars *shrug sholders*
