What have you done to your P5 today?

God damn it. I just got back from Summit Racing and picked up a Magnaflow cat and a bunch of exhaust clamps that are all going to be too bloody small. This ID/OD s*** pisses me off. The ID of my exhaust is 2.4" and the ID of the cat is 2.5". I bought 2 different sets of 2.5" clamps (butt joint and lap joint) but it looks like I need to buy 2.75" clamps for the cat and exhaust. Arg! I'm going to hack it up this weekend and see if I can't slip one over the other. If that doesn't work I think I may just drop off my car at a muffler shop and ask them to weld it in...

Well since I'm looking for my bagged mini truck.Pulled the fresh turbo kit I had on for about two week's today to make some extra cash.Thread will be up tomorrow this is a full kit with everything needed including black steedspeed mani :) plus guage's,wideband and extra's

dude, wow. LOL

I'd rather have it welded.

Yeah- I'll have it welded as a last resort. Here in Ohio I get snow and rain so I don't want the welds to rust. Plus, honestly, I just don't trust anyone working on my car, I'm just that anal. I've done everything myself on my cars for so long it scares me to let someone screw it up. I have trust issues with the ladies too. heh-heh.

Oh- and PS, that cat who said that the tubing for my oil catch can won't work and it will collapse, you were totally right. I replaced it with 3/8 tubing I found in the plumbing isle.

snapped some photos right before the storm!

I would just skip the clamps, return them, save the $$ & get it welded. Shouldn't be much more than $75...

dude, wow. LOL

lol I know getting rid of the car (friday)

Seriously? I thought I was impulsive, lol. So what mini truck did you come across?

i was worried about that with getting my exhaust welded recently but I just cleaned the weld and hit it with some high temp paint to prevent rust from building up. we will see how it holds up when spring rolls around.

Just Plasti-dip'd my interior pieces that were once gloss black. I can't wait to see how it turns out.

Plasti-dip.

It's a spray paint that dries into a durable rubber, but comes out flat black. Do a Google search for it, a lot of car forums use it as a grille paint, wheel paint, and etc. It's extremely durable and doesn't require prep. It will stick to almost anything too.

found out my back left tire is shredding like .5mm off from rubbing. guess Ill have to fix that somehow, roll fenders maybee? Should I go to a body shop? is it weird that only that back tire is doing that and not the other side (has maybe 1mm more offset to spare)?

Matt, I can't wait to see how that turns out. I have to redo my interior and this is a great idea. I used plasti dip on my grille and it's great stuff.

big day tomorrow. Doing everything besides putting in the supercharger.....haha

Gotta take off the header, get the o2 bung welded. Get it wrapped.

Install and wire up slim fans

Get the switch ready for the supercharger

Take off A/C lines

Also go to the junk yard and get a fuel rail spacer. lol

Picked up my Dave B knocks, putting them in tomorrow morning. Also hit a bit of a snag with the stuff I'd bought for my light up doorsills, but that's gonna get rectified tomorrow at a local sign shop. Also drove 200 miles to bikingpro5's to check out his ride and give the old girl a solid ride on the highway.
