You forgot to mention that dropping more than 2" takes the car lower than the ideal suspension geometry and begins to work against your handling potential.

I didn't forget to mention it, cause I didn't tell him to go lower than 2". (hump)

2" is about a perfect drop tho, IMO. Removes all the fender gap, but no clearance issues and optimum performance.

Some people just want o have a fun nice looking car. Bad handling may not be my idea of a fun car, but as they say its more fun to drive a slow car fast then a fast car slow. SO sliding around trying to control the car may be some peoples idea of fun...

~1.3" drop gives the ideal suspension geometry setup for the 3rd gens. It just doesn't look very low at all... of course the Protege being as body high as a bus doesn't help either.

yup. if you know anything about roll centers and roll couples, any lower on a protege and you actually make it handle WORSE than stock. but, i digress... way too much for this thread too....

on topic- (see attached for a protege at ideal ride height :D)

I'm on Tokico Illuminas & RS-R race springs, and my car handles wayyy better than when it was stock. I'm lowered about 2" past where regular protege's sit. ~1.3" lower than the MP3/MSP stock.

at that ride height, i would guess you are riding on the bump stops, too. so, it doesnt really matter what springs you're using. well, unless you have your illumina's on 5's.
