What have you done to your P5 today?

so if i hear what i can best describe as "air releasing" when my strut rebounds from a speed bump would that indicate that the strut is on its way out? is there a easy way to test if the struts are still good or not while still on the car?

That air sound is normal for a gas strut. The test is to push down on the car and it should rebound back up without bouncing. Even driving it you can tell if it bounces more than once over dips or bumps.

Ok then, anyone know where I can get some studs? Gonna go from a 5mm spacer to an 8mm spacer, which studs would work best?

Basically, I'm trying to extend the wheel out so I can adjust the camber a little more negative and prevent rubbing. I would try it now but I only have about a fingers worth of gap between the backside of the wheel and the strut, so I don't think I'd be able to adjust it without getting another spacer. Or is there another way?

Will going from 5mm to 8mm give me enough adjustment you think? Basically my goal is to get the wheels negative enough that I won't rub.

I find it hilarious....

*remember, everything you see on the internet is indeed real*
1st off: I know she's a girl. It's pretty obvious that a person whose username is "Imjustagirl" is probably a girl.

2nd off: I'm sorry but no I don't think someone being assaulted is funny. You're gonna sit here and tell me that if you saw this happen in real life- a man hitting a woman in the groin causing enough pain to make her double over in agony- you would just laugh your ass off? I don't think I'm being overly sensitive. It's disgusting.

Re-build

What I have done to my P5 today is completely rebuilt the whole engine I had the engine over heat, blow a head gasket, and causing my head to warp did a whole bunch of stuff that was bad. But me and another fellow import tuner, rebuilt the whole motor. New bearing (mains & rod bearings), cleaned the block and resurfaced it, I had to get a new (used) head because my was warped, I had that cleaned and resurfaced, new piston rings, thrust washers, new hoses, CAI. there is a way lot more we did to this motor but I cant remember right now, to early in the morning I cant wait to finally have my P5 at full strength. I could write a fricking small book on everything that happend with P5. Some of it is like WTF, and the rest of is down right hilarious.(potkettle

after i got home from washing my sedan i looked at my p5 and thought damn you are sooo neglected lets give you a bath!!!! hahaha she is now white again lol

Drove her to work for the first time in about 10 days waiting in pieces at my work for a new par 3rd gear. Sure feels good to be able to use 3rd gear again :) new clutch too!

PAID IT OFF!!!!!!!!!!

Took me 2 years and 3 months...if I didn't find this forum and help me with my modding then it would of been much, much sooner...been through rolling it over, two Christmas ago, two blown motors last year, and then the modding expenses...just glad that it is now ALL MINE...

Pumped...

I need a second (or third) opinion guys.

I've got a CorkSport Power Series exhaust with a 2.4" inside diameter tubing. With my header, my car is loud as hell and raspy so I want to put a cat on it to be legal for e-check here in Ohio and to cut out some of the rasp. Summit Racing is just down the street from me and here is a Magnaflow catylitic converter that is the same length as the OEM cat and comes in 2.5" inlet/outlet. So I was thinking I would be able to simply cut the Corksport tubing in my midpipe 16" for the cat, then would the cat be able to slip over the exhaust tubing, since it's 2.5"? Then I would just clamp both ends to my exhaust with these clamps. Then I was thinking about adding a flex pipe in the midpipe too. Because CorkSport includes motor mounts and there isn't any flex pipe in their exhaust. I've already got an AWR mount in the front but couldn't get the rear mount unbolted and I've got CS urethane exhaust hangers so everything is pretty stiff and rigid. I just don't want to crack my header or anything.

I don't have a welder and don't really want to take it to a muffler shop because I don't trust anyone touching my car. So what do you guys think? Thanks in advance.

biggest thing is if the Cat is a 2.5" id or od. If is od it will fit perfect if its id your going to have quite a gap and probably a leak using exhaust clamps.
