Lexus LFA

Its been a while since I read the article, but iirc, the engine is pretty much the same; but the suspension is more refined, and has a bunch of cf goodies, and forged wheels. I'll have to find the article again. The LFA is nice and obviously outperforms the GTR....whether the regular or SpecV. But the SpecV has enough additional goodies to make me take that over the LFA. Just personal preference I suppose. But both of those cars cost more than I make in several years, so its really a moot point.

Protege Club

Hello there,

Im interested in joining a local protege club here in Los Angeles and was wondering if anyone knew of any clubs i could join or if anyone was interested in creating one with me? I have a fully modified MP5 and i feel like it deserves a club...Anyone??

Thanks,
Miguel

In other words, if I had that kind of money to spend on a car, I wouldn't buy a Toyota. Obviously buying a car with that pricetag is a status symbol and at the end of the day, it comes from a company that makes the Tercel, Corrola and Camry. It's an awesome car, but I think they've put it in a league (price-wise) where it doesn't belong. It's not a Ferrari, Bentley, Auston Martin, Lambo, etc... it's a Toyota. I know they worked on this thing for the past 10 years, but it's price/performance ratio is just not there. Yeah, it's fast and hi-tech, but there are plenty of other cars out there in the same performance league for 3 times LESS the cost. I know I know... supply/demand. I had read that they were all sold already, but then recently read that they actually aren't all sold.

Yeah, I understand what you're saying. Kinda like our cars, no matter how unique or how fast we can make it run at the end it's just a Japanese FWD car lol. If money was no problem and I really really want the LFA then I woulld buy one regardless what manufacture makes them. Keep in mind that money is no problem for those who purchase this cars. I am sure that people who bought the LFA knows about cars and knows what's out there but they have there own reasons for the purchase and I don't think you can put a price tag on that.

So what? Lotus uses Toyota motors. You wouldn't want to drive/own a Lotus Evora either? Hooray for irrational thought proceeses!

Ya, you're right, I wouldn't want to drive/own this either. Ewww Toyota motor! (jerkit)

i wouldnt pay 375k for the LFA either. not because its a toyota b/c im a GT-R fanboy. but for 375k? get real! while the sound of that v10 is orgasmic and the electronic display is awesome. the car is fugly and already looks dated since it looks like a supra. and you can buy many other cars that look better, perform better and can be modded.

pretty sure theres nothing else to get out of that v10. if so, very little.

toyota should have slapped a TT I6 or a V8 in it, slapped the name "Supra" on it and sold that s*** for $60k

This is a wayyy better argument then, "Because it's a Toyota!" haha

*I would get the GT-R first, too. ;) But the GT-R is a track monster, not a refined, comfortable, luxury supercar.... 2 different categories in my opinion.

how can anyone call that outdated....

i said its looks. it looks like a supra attempting to be modern. but the design looks old. its already dated. outdated, in my eyes

def not a good looking car, in my opinion

a z06 looks better than the LFA
