NEMOC Random BS Thread

LOL...I threw all the coin rolls into a bag...not realizing that it'd be a little heavy...

Official Weight: 60.6 lbs ...of change.

pics?? ask carlson about a local body shop.. the shop thats done his work appears to have done a really good job on his car.. sad to hear about the car though.. definetly sucks.. :(

That's for the advice I will definitely look into it. Post pics tomorrow, he damage is on the drivers side rear bumper area. Apparently my car is "so little" that she "couldn't even see it over her truck"

Some women should not drive EVER, especially big Toyota tundra's. Sadly there was only one car in the parking lot besides her's....mine :(

I'm waiting for the adjuster to call me sometime tomorrow so i can get it fixed asap!

Evening folks...seems I missed a lot of interesting stuff over the past few days.

About to head to work in ~10 mins.

Finally took the time to roll up all the loose change I'd been saving since before I can remember. Finally tally is $588.50. I can haz exhaust?

Hmm I should start paying for things in cash!!!

Morning all! Today is my 2 year anniversary here... I know it's not much, but still a lot considering I'm hanging on to the mentality of college where things only last a year.

Just found out since MassDOT took over the registry here that a new title now costs $75 instead of $50... and plate fees just went up also...

Awesome...

Well congrats! Today is our one CAD monkey's 30th anniversary here... and I think everyone has gone up to him and gave him crap about not moving on. Hahaha.

I hit the 4 year mark last month. Every day I say to myself "Oh just please let me get 5 years in here so that I'll at least have that on my resume if things get worse..." Hahaha.

Thanks! For my first job I only stayed there a year.. I was bored out of my mind and not used to my potential (I was basically doing a technician job which didn't really require a 4 year degree). I'm pretty happy where I am but I'm with you Phen, I want 5 years under my belt just in case I need to move on.

I'm coming up on my 2 year anniversary here at Electric Boat. I'm 100% ready to move on, but I can't find another job that I'd be willing to take.

I've been at my current job for over 4 years, and I've been actively looking for a new job for a year now.

Morning all and congrats on your anniversarys....

I'm close to 15yrs here (would be 16 but I left for nine months).

I'm not sure how many companies still offer an actual pension but mine did and after 5yrs of service you were fully vested...one more reason to shoot for 5yrs. If it's offered of course.

I'm at my 9.5 year mark with my job. Scenery can be nice, pay is ok, but the hours are sometimes crappy.

September will be 7 years for me on the Railroad!

Good Morning NEPOCers! Mahk we will have to plan another day to swap...The shoes are getting lonely with no feet in them!

Longest I spent in one place was 5 years at Computer Associates in Framingham. Then they tried to sell my ass to an India-based outsourcing company with an office in Quincy. I got the hell out of there. It was good timing too, my old group has basically been relegated to support/maintenance duties of the software we used to develop. The new version I was working on over 2 years ago hasn't seen the light of day.

Hey Chris! Both of you!... go into the Lounge section of the MS6 forum and put in your production numbers... Gary (MS6 Gary, not RX-8 Gary) is gathering all of the info, it's pretty interesting!!

Woah... MS6's have production numbers now?

And Jenn, what do you care? Yours doesn't exist...

Gary has a theory... we haven't confirmed it with Mazda yet but it seems valid. The more blanks we fill in, the more evidence we have that it's true. It's the last 5 digits of the VIN number... Goes up to 10729 so far. Earliest we have is 00402. We have some build dates too.

HAR HAR.... doesn't exist... *grumble*

Huh. Neat. Well hopefully you guys do figure it out. That's pretty interesting. I know the VIN for the MSM is spread across...well, alot of number. If it wasn't for Mazda keeping track of it and their numbers, I don't think it'd be too easy for us to figure it out.

Example...

#1 - JM1NB354X40404121

#4000 - JM1NB354740410202
