Saturday, threw the car up on jacks, removed wheels, calipers, pads, and rotors.
Not easy on a car that has been sitting outside in the elements for 8 months.
Rotors were so rusted on, the mounting screws were completely fused... had to bore them out. Got them turned, threw everything back on, as well as put new pads on, HAWK HPS.
Also, replaced the rear left axle seal, was MUCH easier than i thought it was gonna be.
I assumed 2+ hrs, it took us less than 1 hr. Then changed out the rear diff gear oil. Went without a hitch! Driving smooth, EXCEPT for a small issue with the brakes... argh. posting a seperate thread to inquire about this...
Today i drove about 1.5 hrs to Cal Speedway in Fontana for a Time Attack event by Redline.
Was really fun, pretty busy and my first time at that speedway, was HUGE!!! Also was there to help plan the layout for our big MAZFEST event. Cant wait!
Well let me just say that the trunk cargo net is pretty handy but if i cant find the screws then its yours. Pm me in a couple of days.
Anyone else know where i can get the screws?
try an OEM online store like MazdaStuff.com. Or just use a home depot remedy like i did. Metal hooks, bend em closed around the net hoops, then open then other end a bit to hook into the mounting holes.
Not a fan of the slammed look. Wheels look tiny with it like that. I'd put it up about a half inch higher and I think it would be a great look IMO.
I think part of that reason is cause he has stock offset too, wheels are super sunk and look even more so with the offset.
If he uses small spacers like 5-10mm and rolls the rear lip, he could get away with close to flush while still tucking tire and still perform pretty well!
