I agree. The blacks have a blue tinge.
Well, I purposely got rid of some contrast. There was too much in the original. The colors are washed out because I tried my hand at cross processing in photoshop... I'm learning.
meh. Not wild about it... Not sure why either.
The solution could be as easy as a simple curves adjustment.

I had a little more fun with it... hope you don't mind. Notice how detail is recovered from the dark areas of the horse, but not sacrificed in the light areas...

I should post up a video sometime about how my horse reacts to anything 'new'
She flips the eff out... it is kind of funny. xD
I was thinking as you would be shooting at noon-ish you could probably lay the reflector down on the ground then slowly angle it to add the desired fill light. Reflectors are usually pretty cheap and it might be worth it to get one and throw it out in the field for a couple days so that they could get used it it laying around...? Just a thought.
My wife and I have a 42" 5 in 1 reflector that we picked up at Wolf on sale for like $30 I think... it's been a while but I remember it wasn't bad at all.
Oh, great idea... thank you!
