I could never go back to stock.I'm about 90% sure I don't have the starter though I haven't actually checked. It takes my car forever to crank but it never changes with engine temp so I'm pretty sure its just ignition stuff. When I called my Gallo they told me I would still have to pay to get it replaced.
On another note, anyone know what the deal is with the warranty on the Cat?

I never cared to worry about the cat.. i dont have one
I'm the type of person that would get cited for not having one within like 5 minutes of pulling it off. Plus I don't wanna deal with emissions when I go to get it inspected.
Anyways I was poking around my car today (to double check if I had the upgraded starter just in case, which I couldn't figure out because I didn't realize I needed to climb underneath to look)
Anyways on my door jamb there's a little "Mazda approved modification" sticker with the number N3(or maybe 6)22-18881-T
Anyone know what thats about? PCM flash? Starter? jet engine?

alright so as a graduation present to myself I'm definitely going to go with either a suspension set up or exhaust. I'll worry about the cat/starter when they actually crap out and I've always been a fan of the sly sleeper look so I think I'm gonna lay off any aero. Any suggestions for a set up?

I have a Borla catback (with high flow cat - hella loud) and Tein H Tech springs with stock shocks. I wish I went lower and probably will sometime this summer. I love the borla, nice deep sound. Josh and James will try to get you on the Racing Beat bandwagon.

Oh, I like the Borla as well. Just happened that my barter deal option for exhaust was RB only.

I think borla is nice if you keep the factory cat... it gets a bit loud and droney with a high flow.. and way too loud with a mid pipe..
RB is a tad quiet with the factory cat, sounds good with a high flow, and sounds good with a midpipe

Hmm, perhaps a deal could be reached for your old springs... As low as I would like to go I'll be living with my brother for the summer and our driveway is on a bit of a hill, I barely miss rubbing now with the stock bumper. I really want to just eliminate the wheel gap. Plus if I save enough on the springs I might be able to afford the exhaust as well. Anyone know if a high flow cat will pass MA emissions testing?

High flow doesn't throw a CEL.. so as far as the computer is concerned, it should pass.
Edit: Another option for you is just getting a high flow cat... it'll add volume to the stock cat back sound. And it's cheaper!
