What have you done to your MSP today?

Hmm now you're making me think to go ahead and put it on lol. I got the Greddy Profec B so I hear they are pretty good about minimizing spikes? I am thinking just 8 psi for now to see how it does and maybe bump it to 9 max when I get a custom tune.
 
they are, but you'll have to tune it, which takes some doing. I went MBC because I don't wanna dish out that kind of cash, and I'm OK with setting lower boost and accepting a spike if thats what it comes to.

lol very true u cud blow it up at any moment... let me put it this way i'm on a bigger turbo wit way more boost on the same stock engine ;) DO IT!!!! lol
 
u won't blow up ur engine if you run out of fluid unless your seriously tuning for like 15psi++++ then maybe u'd worry bout running out lol but u cud still run about 10psi meth will jist help u stay more on the safe side

ya I have that now, I use to have a MBC, which for me didn't spike at all, but the Greddy Profec B II is really good at not spiking, and you can set it so that if it does spike at all, it will limit it and reduce it, I suggest setting the boost limiter kinda low so that it doesn't reduce the boost by a lot (you'll understand once you start playing around with it) and that way you won't spike and lower the boost a lot and then go back up to full boost then have to have it limit again, it's a pain...

but overall, it takes a longgg time, at least it did for me to actually find good settings with nice spool up and boost settings, I suggest also having 1 set for cooler temps. and 1 set for higher temps, for me I have my winter/cooler temps set to 8psi, and the higher one set to 9.7-10psi depending on the temp outside, but you could set one for 8psi and the other for 9psi, takes a long time to play around with though

if your tune is dependant on the meth for added timing, it will blow up when you run out. a guy at EECMM threw a rod at the car behind him last year doing exactly that.
If you're tuning it for EXTRA safety, you're absolutely right.
 
yeah but ur only gonna use it for that security u won't need to rely your tune on it is all i'm saying either that or fmic or upgraded smic to have a colder charge
 
with the stock smic, you'd want a upgrade IC no matter what, the stock IC blows ass, big time, I use to heatsoak on that thing every time I drove it in the summer, thing sucks
 
My AEM Meth Kit Have those options, you dont need a standalone to do that..

the AEM kit has an output that will facilitate that.. but what would I hook that up to on my car? Stock ECU with piggyback, and a manual boost controller..... sure, its available, but that would be like me coming to your house with my toaster. We could have toast, if there was somewhere to plug it in!
 
i'm pretty sure the aem meth/water kit doesn't do anything to your boost or timing but allows you to tune those IF you have something to tune those with.. the aem kit is almost like my snow performance kit but i need my MPI to tune timin and what not and my profec b for boost

if i remember correctly the AEM Meth kit comes with that option. look for the online instructions to see if im wrong. i could be but i really think the AEM does let you do that...

not the meth kit alone maybe u bought a package that came with the ems or somethin cuz the aem kit shud only let u adjust it to whatever psi u want it set to just like my snowperformance does..
