Yeah... Dino and I were watching a little bit of the drift stuff but were getting too frustrated at the lack of any idea what-so-ever of what half of them were doing, so we left.

Should have stayed to watch autoX!

Perhaps... but drinking beer seemed like it was in my best interest that day. Drifting on that pad is a joke, so I kinda assumed that auto-x on that pad would be rather boring in comparison to events that I have run in the past.

Good afternoon!

Scored a pair of thule bike racks today off of craigslist...woot!

what types of skills do you have? we hire a lot of former military people. what we do is 10000000000x more boring than anything you probably did in the military but it's a job

I have a few niches I fit into. By my Navy job I'm an Electronics Technician on satellite communications equipment, but I have a few other skills. I'm a military instructor with my Master Training Specialist completed(I know how to develop training curriculum and how to deliver training effectively.)

I've also been to quite a few IT schools in the Navy and served as the Assistant LAN Admin for my Submarine.

I'm currently attempting to draft up a resume if you are truly interested. Please PM me.

Thanks!

Edit: I've also been in the Management position. I've been the lead on my team of 4 Military Instructors and lead my communications division of 6 on the submarine to include an award of excellence in communications.

Nice Chris....sounds like your resume can write itself. lol

Congrats on returning to civvy life and I wish you luck. It is an adjustment, that's for sure.

One point of advice I can give is to switch your OSGLI (if you have it) to VGLI....it's cheaper than anything you can get privately.

Thanks for the compliment. I definitely managed to diversify my Navy career beyond just being an electronics tech. Any chances I got to go to schools, I took full advantage of them.

Hehe I still have 6 months left of indentured servitude. I'm just getting myself ready now. If I don't receive any job offers, I'll just do the college thing on the Navy's dime.

I've already looked into it. Right now 400k of life insurance through VGLI is 32 bucks a month for my age group. 100k is ridiculously cheap and I think that might be perfect for me now.

Well P5 is momentarily running.....Well it was running just needs a DS rear tire. So I am waiting on the funds to get the tires.....But to be able to go to LRP I am going to run stocks for now.....So no Team Dynamics on the 5 for LRP.....Sadly stock....But hey I will be there that is the plus!!! Cheaper to go to LRP for two days than get tires.
Stocker tires are fine.....Plenty of tread.

nice. my recommendation for our company would be to look at the jobs available and look to see if anything interests you. if the wonderful world of insurance is something you're interested in let me know and i can start asking around to figure out the best way to approach this. we do most of our IT in hartford so if you're interested in that there is opportunity.

i'd be willing to take a look at your resume if you want and give feedback. also i can answer any questions about the company, what is done here, etc...

funny coincidence. the book i'm reading ("The Charlemagne Pursuit") partly takes place there. i was reading about it over the weekend in the book then went and checked out the website. looks fun :)

cool place, too 2 hrs to see 40 rooms...

If it keeps me in the area of my wonderful NEPOC people and has decent pay, I'm interested. Let's move this to PMs? (rockon)

Had in interesting Monday. Went to the dr's to check out the post op surgery. Looks good, on to physio.

On the way to physio got pulled over for speeding, 18 over the speed limit, not sure what it was anyway. The offcier let me go with a warning. I love NH.!!

More like it was he was wondering how a Miata could go that fast.

Exactly. This is what Marlon, Lauri, Ray, Phen, and myself were laughing about at last year's Lime Rock when Ray was pulled over. Originally, the cop was trying pull over the lead car in the group which had Lauri and Kim in it. I could only imagine the look at the cop's face if that were to happen.
