I would be willing to bet that, stock for stock, the MS6 would beat it. Those 80's Camaro's/Firebird's were not that fast at all.

true dat all bout the mazdas!!!
the speed....by a landslide, lol, that camaro had a 305 carb, 165 hp and 255 tq. I had all the parts ready to go in to bring it over 300 WHP, but I totalled it before they went in.
That camaro will always be my first love, house of kolor paint, full body and interior restoration too.

1982 Toyota Tercel 3 door (hatch) - front drive with longitudinal engine!

1989 Toyota Camry LE V6 Sedan
1995 Camry LE V6 Sedan (sold because I was broke)
1995 Camry V6 XLE 4 cyl. (my neighbor now drives it)

That's in 34 years. Every one has been rock solid reliable.
Never spent a nickel modding or "personalizing" any of these cars other than adding a quadraphonic 8-track to the Rambler and a Pioneer "SuperTuner" underdash to the Polara. Oh, I did paint the Rambler but did it myself.

My first and only car was also my mazdaspeed 6, I picked it up when I was only 17 years old and payed full cash. Yes, all of my money that I've been saving up literly every penny since I began my first day of work. Technically I did turn 18 two months later but technically I was still 17 when I picked it up

That's what I was thinking of a couple months after I bought my car... I just thought, "wow, when I have kids, get older and get a real full time job wtf am I gunna drive?" lol.
Eventually, after I finish my business degree I'll somehow get into Mazda's head office, show them my photochops, and force them to make a 2020 mazdaspeed 6... how about a 3.7 v6 bi-turbo? hahaha(evil).

- 2001 Honda Civic Coupe (dead reliable and mint, but 0 power, 0 options =s old)
- 2008 Mazda 3 Sport (still have -- wife drives)
- 2001 VW Jetta GLS 1.8T (excellent car, mildly modified -- but paint started falling off = sold)
- 2006 Mazda 6i Sport -- current owner for 2 weeks. so far so good.
also have a 2002 Suzuki Bandit 600s for a toy.
