Magnum, I'm not sure where you're getting your information, but I'm sorry we bug you. Let me clear the air and inform you of our intentions so you are no longer bugged. We are making no attempt whatsoever to replace the OAC. In the wake of the fallout from the OAC, of which we only recently became aware, we are organizing ourselves, locally and informally. I believe the perception that we are trying to usurp the OAC comes from the fact that us "Louisville" (actually Bardstown (Tiff), Georgetown (greatdane, mrsparks), Lexington (Brad), and Radcliffe (oh hejl no)) OAC members are the only ones who have been participating lately. Organizing locally is something we should have done a long time ago, but it doesn't mean we are trying to exclude anyone, or that we aren't still interested in a regional association. By the way, you are more than welcome to cruise down from Cincy (our last two meets, Georgetown and Lexington, were closer to you than they were to me in Louisville) anytime. It won't bug me what you call yourself.
^^^ LOL, why are you in here anyway?
sarcasm ---->
you -------->
You guys act like you're so benevolent to the Mazda community of the region. (Where is this hostility coming from, dude? We're just trying to start a local club)You say you've organized so many events but only one that I know of outside the Louisville region (Mazda Thunder)! (I never said we had organized a lot of regional events, I said we were the only active OAC members)Before you guys seemed to take control there were regular events all over the region: from Cleveland, to Cincinnati, to Lexington, you name it.(This idea you have that we are somehow in control of something baffles me...did you read my post?) Louisville is nearly two hours away from me. That's a little too far for small get togethers for me.
If you guys want to create a local club, there's nothing wrong with that. (That's all we want, as per my post) All I'm saying is don't take a regional organization (like OAC was attempting to become) and turn it into a Louisville or KY group(We're not, it's all right there in the post).
Believe me, I avoid drama like the plague, but I didn't bring it to this thread and my attempt to clarify things apparently fell upon deaf ears, so here is my last attempt to clear the air.
Columbus Crew FTW!
So, I requested off June 18 and 19 for Grand Am at Mid Ohio
The current plan is to come down after work on Friday the 17th, then spend all day Sat and Sun at the track.
This may be an unaskable question, but is it okay if I leave, or do you have to camp there in the Mazda Corral overnight? For example, I'll just drive home after the race Saturday ends and the festivities wind down, but come back early the next morning on Sunday....
Oh, and what are the crowds like? Nobody was at the NASA event, but I expect much larger crowds for Grand-Am--but watching the VIR race, I didn't see too many people...
Change of subject; so how was everyone's weekend?

so I've got a hotel room reserved down there.
I spent all weekend fighting the RX-7. First it was the brake rotors, then the calipers, etc. I got everything done that I wanted to finish but now it needs a wash badly. I'm also getting a clunk from the left front when turning sometimes and it looks like the camber is much greater on that side than the other...
