it was on my stock head unit so it does work but as far as it being compatible with all ipods i don't remember.
...
like stated before as far as it being compatible with newer IPODS that is questionable. i'll try to make time to pull my deck and see what it does with mine(newer kenwood KDC-MP638U) and an assortment of ipods/iphone.

It was tuned for: stock MSP turbo @ 10psi, SRI, MAM FMIC kit, Greddy Type-RS BOV, relocated MAF, Protege Garage (626) intake manifold, 440cc injectors, colder spark plugs, Thunder exhaust manifold, and a full turbo-back exhaust .. all running on at least 93 octane

If you wanted you could send it to JDMSam and have him clear it to stock or retune it to your specific needs. On the tune it has, yes, you would need to run 440s. Yes it does come with an a-b map but, as i purchased this unit off another member on the forum who had it tuned for them i don't know what the b map does. Also it was on my car for a short period of time before i upgraded my turbo and decided to go a different route.

i'll give you $20 to ship that ipod interface to me. i dont think it is compatable with any newer kenwoods, so it would be better than tossing it in the trash.
