Aggressive fitment anyone?!

your just jealous, lol

pfft... i could put some huge, crazy wheels with tires that are too small on my car if i wanted to, but that's not going to happen! look at Zack's blue MSP. now that's some clean, tasteful, FUNCTIONAL, aggressive fitment.

how exactly is it functional? I mean yes, 17x8" but hes running 215, hardly improving function with a 8" wide rim. I run a 215 right now on a 7" wide, does that mean I have a functional setup? or if I run it with a 17x9", still functional right?

Now, if we're talking about his track wheels 245, THATS functional but thats also for the track, not the street.

am i the only one who thinks this:

looks awful?

(referring to the wheels, not the stickers... that's another story in itself)

looks like a VW's retarded little brother

Just ordered 225/35/17 S-drives, should be here in a few days. I've got two weeks (MWMF!!!) to finish the wheels, paint them and get the tires mounted. You think I should mount the rubber b4 I paint??? I'm not sure if I trust places not to scratch the paint while mounting the tires...

On another note, why is everyone hating around here???
Do what you do, function/form just do what you need to do to accomplish what you want to accomplish!

you do have a functional wheel/tire set up right now. all i'm saying is that a 9" rim with 205s or smaller is only adding dead weight to the car while reducing rubber on the road.

absolutely, get the tires mounted before painting. i'm in the middle of refinishing some wheels right now. do all your sanding and prep, mount tires, then paint.

Thank you, our community seems to be so closed minded and can't seem to accept different flavors like other communities can.

for the most part, mazda drivers enjoy driving their cars.

for the most part, hellaflush drivers enjoy looking at their barely drivable cars.

this would be the "closed mindedness" you speak of.

no hating here, just having an opinion. i totally appreciate when people try something new and push the limits. but new ideas are not always good ideas. as long as the person who rocks it likes it... that's all that really matters.

Initial clean/sand complete. ;)

looks super clean! good prep is at least half the battle. looks like the surface might be a bit rough(?), i'd do a quick once over by hand with 120 grit before paint. anyway, don't know how experienced you are with this stuff but feel free to PM me if you want more tips.

You speak as an outsider, and its obvious. Anyone who drives or knows ppl with an agg setup knows the cars aren't barely drivable.

My comment wasn't aimed at you Zack, just at the general population. There has been a lot of flaming lately of anything different from the norm and it just gets frustrating cause I love the mazda community but I don't like the lack of "outside of the box" thinking.

outsider?
I used to have 40 offset 7" 17's on my car (came with it). and with a stock size tire I couldn't have more than one person in the back without rubbing.

go lower offset, wider wheel and the problem can only get worse. **** that.

That pic is after dremel work with 120 grit. It looks rough because of the directional marks from the dremel but it's pretty smooth. I'm still going to go over it with 240/320 before I prime.

This is a benefit in my eyes. No body rides in the back seat! The 4 doors are just for looks! haha
