The transmission mount bracket broke on my ms3 due to mazda using poor casting methods and low quality aluminum and I was wondering if there were any after market brackets that I could buy that would be strongerthe the OEM one.

i would recommend street unit billet aluminum trany and side engine mounts (it sells as a set) its a little expensive (320$) but its totally worth it , billet is a very strong material so it will last you for ever.

I bought the tranny mount and rear engine mount from pg I just need the bracket that goes under the mount. The oem mounts were fine and they didnt break it was just the bracket but it was absolute crap. Ill post a pic of the broken mount and you can see the porosity in the aluminum it was made to such low specs. I really dont want to get the oem bracket again but I cant seem to find an after market one
yea I haven't seen any either. I think that the bracket that was installed on my car was just bad so I guess im going to have to stick with the oem one
i couldve sworn that someone had an aftermarket unit in the works.... i guess they never went through with it. I believe i saw it on PG as an option for the trz mount... but dont take my word for it...
I think your experience with the bracket may be a fluke. I see a lot of complaints on this forum and others about different parts being defective, but your broken bracket seems to be the first I've heard about.
I don't think I'd be shy about getting another one from Mazda. Depending on its complexity, you might even be able to get a good industrial machine shop to make one for you for less than what your Mazda stealership might want to charge for the part. Machine shops do amazing things at reasonable prices when it comes to fabricating things like brackets. Might want to check that out as an option.
