...to be honest, i think the one of rich's kid holding the black mani, is zachs.. not sure though.. looks just like it.

Those particular pics were actually posted by a customer, velocifero... and it is HIS youngster holding HIS manifold. :)

Only difference is the logo... Scott's had the badge and Zach's is etched. Everything else is exactly the same.

I'd love to see some up close shots of the etching and production markings. Who's good with a DSLR.

I don't have a SLR, but my new Casio takes some pretty decent macro shots. :)

rich,

I was doing some installing on the manifold today..

i ran into a few snags... the wrx 440 injectors don't seem to fit right.. as in they dont seat correctly, any clue on why?

also, i've noticed that with thefittings you provided, there weren't many threads that could be turned into the mani, with teflon tape on. as well as w/ the vac block, the powder coat seeems to have some issues.

Test fitted the manifold this weekend before it was sent to the machine shop to get extra injectors welded into it.Rich the manifold looks great thanks!!

hey man im having the same issue i cant get my oring's to seal either. i talked to rich yesterday and he told me to take out the black plastic spacers and try snugging it down more. im trying to make some custom o rings now.

Haven't tried those injectors on mine, but if they work on the stocker they should work on mine. Do you have any stock injectors that you can try to see if the cause the same problem?

nothing... the other rings dont work.. the stock injectors work just fine. the issue with the 440s is, the plastic piece at the bottom..if that can be taken off somehow without ******* up the injectors, the stock o rings(from the stock injectors) will work just fine.. i'm just not about to mod someones injectors that aren't mine.

Its sweet isnt it!

he doesn't seem to think so.

basically, between him and i via pms.. we had a bit of concern regarding the build of the manifold.. dont get me wrong, it's nice..

but with the runners, to the flange on the inside, there's what seems to be a space.. like where the flange and runners meet, there's space there on the inside, grinded down some, but the outside is welded.. now, for a grand it's a nice piece, but also, on the otherside, for a grand, i would expect some better craftsmanship.. i'll post up some pics.

correct.. this 16th or a little more of a gap will produce bad flow and cause cracking at the intake flange from vibrations.. anyway ill post pics tomrow.. comparing to other sheet metal intakes i have for other applications..

Wow, Im kind of worry about me being able to install correctly my RC 1000cc Injectors on it... what are the real complains, injectors fitment or the quality and craftmanship of the intake manifold itself. After looking at those pictures im worry about this thing breaking and falling at Hight boost....

Where do you live in Jersey? I am home on spring break right now, let me know if you need any help or want to take me for a ride after this manifold is installed, lol.

I am curious to see this thing in person....

the stock injectors seat correctly. as you can see.

there are no gaps that show through, they're just gaps on the inside of the runner, which i'm a bit worried. the welds on the outside are fine.hopefully they're good enough to hold it together.

the only logical way i can see the 440s working, is if the plastic orange piece at the base of the 440 is broken off, and the stock 0 ring is used there, that's the only way i see those working with this manifold.
