uhh i dunno anything about the turbo kits but i dont think scott or brice is ripping anyone off. but i for sure think thats a HIGH ass price considering ive seen the work done from two local mazda guys for like 4k

Then it just depends on how mechanically inclined you are and how much you are willing to spend on install... which could be a lot.

People have been wanting to upgrade rods but everybody else would be like " don't do it it's a waste of money you don't need them". lol

yeah i mentioned that to him also, he said, well, i cant vouch for them or stand behind their product but as far as im concerned Ken has helped me out more than anything and i would stand behind their product. but still, 5k is so much and as far as im concerned WAY more than this car is worth.


factor in money on the mods i have, motor, and retune it will probably be over half what i paid for the car its self. so, im still on the fence wether or not the mazda is going to go or not.

not sure yet, not finished yet! May be done today. Jobs like this throw all kinds of curve balls. I would guess roughly 360-400whp when its broken in and re-tuned. Time will tell!

thats a bit optimistic IMO. guys are having a hard time with a 3076 @ 18psi hitting 400

They probably would, running a 26psi turbo at 18. If they can't make enough fuel to support it, or are running a stock bottom end, they shouldn't be using it. Why use a turbo like that and not push it? It certainly isn't the best choice for drivability.

hes running off a 20lb wastegate. couldnt hit 20psi on the dynojet. sitting pretty at 380 @18psi tho. hes on a stock bottom end too with an AP. hes hit the "wall"

Wow, Jesse... I just saw this thread, and I'm stunned. Especially after I just watched your ride getting tuned on the dyno. Man, I am sorry to hear about this.

Any idea what you'll do next, automotively, since a rebuild appears not to be in the cards?

yeah man, its been a pretty rough time since that dyno day. not only me but, rich 's motor who was also there filming and getting tuned his motor is on its way out also.

i actually am parting it out as we speak and jumping ship man. i have a few cars in mind so we will see what comes of it (drinks)
