GI: SpeedCircuit Protege Turbo Kit

the 3071r DOES have clearance issues (photo 1)

does your kit work with power steering? i didnt see the pump in the photo.

i noticed your BOV was way down below. are you worried about it getting damaged?

photos look like s***. sent from my android

It doesn't look like its hitting the bell house is it ?

oh yea, and what size dp and wastegate pipes are those? it looks like the WG steps down to a 1.25". wouldnt it been easier to just go straight 1.5" out?

dp = 2.5" , dump-pipe ~1"

If you choose the 4" inlet like i did, Its not the bellhousing that you have to worry about. the 3071r hits the slave cylinder banjo nut. i had to shave it down about half its thickness. the coupler barely makes it, but with the clamp there were still issues. BUT IT WILL WORK!!! sorry no photos (yet)

no I have the the 2.75" inlet so no worry on that one, I knew the 4" would be to big of hassle to deal with.

thnx for sharing the pic's (thumb)

The snow finally melted so I took the car out for a spin.

The car itself is in rough shape and needs some work, but the turbo kit was impressive. Since we're waiting on the intake manifold with the extra injector setup, I could only give it 5psi or so at half throttle. Gotta say though, I was very impressed with it so far.

Here's a quick video I took of it idling. Note that the downpipe currently isn't connected to the exhaust (hence the loud engine).

Also, in this clip you can see what I was talking about earlier concerning the FMIC. I stuffed the widest FMIC I could in there (it was made to my spec) that still allowed for the piping to be routed the way I wanted.

For aesthetic purposes, I may make the FMIC narrower (by taking some area away from the passenger side) so it's symmetric.

Without further ado:

Here's a quick grainy shot - again, focus on the kit and not the car that has been sitting for the past year. I'll get it cleaned up soon.

That looks awesome! Great Job Dino!

I agree with what you are saying about the FMIC as well. Also where is the maf sensor? Does this kit incorporate it for stock operations? What is the engine management were u using in the car? I know you said you will not include one, but I was just curious to find out what you were using.

Sorry for the repeating questions. I am sure this was mentioned before. I love the kit though

You can't see it in that pic (it's covered by the CAI), but it's on the coldpipe.

I don't understand your question.

We're going to be running the AEM FIC.

I was asking if the maf sensor is going to be used, but you answered the question already, thanks Dino.
