Need some help!
So I ordered the Test Pipe back in December and just got around to installing it (Wrecked the car by hitting black ice and in the shop because of the Bad O2 Sensor recall). So I was able to put it on in about 30 minutes but it doesn't match up. I know the CC had a bit of a curve to it but this was completely straight and now is leaking and I sound like a RICER!!! Anyway, does anyone have any tips or anything to add? I know its leaking where it comes down from the downpipe and meets the Test Pipe. I have some pics to confirm this ( Sorry if they are bad quality, phone pics ). Please let me know!!

I had issues too. Best bet is to get some copper gasket seal from the local store, smear it all over the back flange and tighten it up, wait a few minutes, then reattach the front. I've had it like that for almost a year without any problems.

I never had a leak there, but it should work. Make sure you tighten down the bolts to the back of the exhaust before you do the connection to the downpipe. I ended up gettings some new bolts from Lowe's to replace the ones on the front too.

Mine leaked so I had to buy a gasket. I checked pep boys and autozone and nobody carried the size needed. Save yourself some time and agony and just buy the one from SU's website.

All the test pipes are made from the same mold so it should fit properly.

No sir, they are NOT all made from the same "mold".

That install looks horrible. I've never seen the SU version installed and I would have never kept it after seeing this. It is indeed straight where the OEM cat has slightly angled flanges. I ran the TXS RP for a while and it was MUCH better looking, asthetically and design.

Here's what a properly designed RP looks like when installed with a CS CBE.

I already bought a gasket and put it on the back end of my exhaust and not the front because I removed the old gasket. I'm thinking about having my neighbor take it into his steel shop and seeing if he can put the bend on it (give him the original Cat to get the bend degree ). I'm just stuck on what to do.

0-60 in 4.3 seconds . . . I would like to see that! Damn

Yep, it's all in the launch and that first 1-2 shift. To get those low numbers requires real hot and sticky tires, a brutal 5k rpm launch, and a full throttle shift. Not an AP FFS, but a real "power" shift with WOT. It really isn't worth it more than once or twice... just to say the car will do it. I ran a series of 4.5-4.6s before I got the technique right. If you like to show off a lot, it WILL break your car!!!! I don't recommend it(burnout)

Amen to that. My SU pipe fit like s*** too. I ended up having a buddy cut the flanges off and reweld them at the correct angle. SU wouldn't do anything about it and even deleted my negative feedback. Which is why I won't buy anything from them again.

I definitely will be selling the SU test pipe and get the Corksport RP and CBE as a whole when I get around to replacing it. Everything I've seen about that system is just solid.

my su test pipe fit fine...the only thing is the stock gasket didn't work for it and my father inlaw and i went to autozone with the pipe...and literally sat in the back behind the counters and went through their entire stock of gaskets to find one that fit lmao. finally after finding 2 that could work we went back and installed it and it worked out well with no leaks.

Na 4 seconds is believable. There is a youtube vid of a 4.9 sec 0-60. With sticky tires, good road, and a hell of a launch I think its possible. The car hits 60 faster than the advertised specs. I think most places clock the speed 6 at 6 second 0-60. With just an intake I was consistantly doing 5.5ish 0-60's with 4K launches. Haven't launched the car since though :(.

Well after talking to my neighbor who works on Steel for a living, he recommended me to a local garage who does all custom work for Hot Rods. He said they can put a bend in the pipe and have it bolted back up in about 10 minutes. I'm calling them now and going to see what I can do. If it doesn't rain, I'll grab some new pics and post some before and after pics :)

I'm booked for when I get off work tonight at 4:15. I'll let you know how it looks!

Well I'm back from the pipe bending place and I have to say I'm rather pleased. I knew there would be a kink in the pipe going into this and that didn't bother me. The best part was that after they got done with it, it matched perfectly. Nothing had to be shifted for this to fit.
After going through all of this and paying the $50 to get the car up and them to bend it, I would gladly have paid SU or any other seller and extra $25 if they would do this. I just don't see why this doesn't happen in the first place. It literally took them 10 minutes from taking the pipe off, bending, and putting it back on.
Oh well, here are the new pics.

The last 2 pics are what it is now.. and what it was going into this. Let me know what you guys think. Like I said, I KNEW there was going to be that kink going into this and that didn't bother me.

Thanks!

I was thinking of getting this pipe, but if I have to go through all the trouble of getting it bent to fit, forget it. Does anyone sell a test pipe that fits without any modification to it?
