Due to the recent interest in Retrofits, thanks Matt !!! I decided to spend a little time on these.

Stage 1:
Remove the chrome from the lens surround. These parts are very cooperative, only after two days in Bleach yields this:

Final outcome, clean and washed pristine white plastic:

Small Update. I got the projectors mounted with shrouds to the oem lenses.

Yes I know the lenses are dirty, gonna get some compressed air.

Pictures of the construction. I used M4 threaded rod...

focus - which projectors did you use? the TSX ones or the screw-in?

I allready have all my parts sourced from a while ago. I got 4 decent fx headlights complete off of ebay. So these are fx bixenon projectors

Lets see some pics of the backside of the reflector housing...

nice, I would like to get more info on how you attached the projector to the lens.

If you look at the pictures above, I used the original holes from the fx projectors which are M4 screws, and replaced them with threaded rod end to end thorugh the back. P.S. use loctite

If anyone is interested in doing this, I strongly suggest you find a scrap headlight to use as a test. The first one I did turned out horrible and it took me 4-5 hours to figure out and get right.

The second one which came out very nice took me 2 hours and the last one took me only one hour.

Moral of the story, get an extra light to practice on, or SERIOUSLY consider using MattV's services because they are not that easy to do...

How did you make sure the projector was aimed right? like not too far where it couldn't be adjusted out by the adjustment screws?

I took the reflector out of the headlight casing, put it on the floor by itself with an H4 bulb. Lit it up with a battery, and marked the wall about 12 feet away with masking tape. Put masking tape on the floor and drew an outline of the reflector on the floor, so that I can put it exactly in the same place.

I then worked with the projector in the reflector until I lined it up with the tape outline of the beam on the wall...

Finish paint on the trim parts:

Also picked up a roll of this to add sealant when reassembling the lenses:

Im not bashing at all but to me it looks like the projectors dont belong in those headlights. I think the p5 lights look a lot better.
