What have you done to your MSP today?

just put down my deposit for the Doc B aluminum radiator group buy! Now I have no money.

Fussed at it this morning when it wouldn't start...two most likely possible causes: fuel pump or starter...didn't have time to mess with it this morning and hubby was sweet to drive me into work...diagnosing will commence tonight. :(

If it was cranking you can rule out the starter.

It's turning over, but not catching...if that makes sense? The two things that popped to mind were starter and fuel pump. We didn't have time to look in depth at it this morning other than the obvious (battery is fine, etc.)...so yeah, possibly not getting fuel. We'll look at it tonight. Just a pain in the patootie to have to deal with....

I forget sometimes that she's 7 years old and has 100k on her...

So i went to Osh today a got a bolt and jammed it inside that caliper. Worked fine. However, now the pads wont go over the rotor. So upon stressing and not getting the pads over the rotor i broke the brake line. Yup, **** me! So the car is stuck in the driveway till i get another caliper assembly and i think ill get some SS brake lines. Hopefully, u can help me out dstmsp03. Pm replied.

On a good note, i might be picking up a rx7 this weekend. 91 FC.

I had that problem with my 04 Spec V. It was the fuel pump, but I sold it before it went totally out lol. You can try turning the key to the ON position and let it sit there for maybe 5 seconds and then crank it. Good luck.

The car is possessed....

KCBHIW was helping hubby Rogue do some troubleshooting over the phone and just going through the checklist of checking fuses, relays etc...and my sweet husband out in the cold garage working on the MSP after dinner... <3

We checked the relays and they were clicking...hubby pulled the fuel pump from his car and put it in mine; still didn't start. I fussed at the car and told her to quit being difficult. (you can laugh, but I swear sometimes it works - maybe it's the gingerkid in me that scares the car) Swapped the main and fuel pump relays from his car to mine and the car started. Put my relays back in and the car started. Oooookay...put my fuel pump back in my car, kept my relays and the car STARTED!

He's going to drive it to work to make sure it is behaving properly and I'm not out on GA400 and she dies.

I swear she was being a fussbucket because Luke just put a new battery and alternator in his P5 - jealous little MSP.

My coworkers made fun of me when I told them I talk to my MSP. Then I turned to a respected coworker who is also a car guy and said "Do you talk to your car?" He looked a little embarassed and said... "Actually... sometimes..."

ha! See, I'm not the only one! :D I swear it helps - sweet talking, fussing, cajoling - whatever it takes!

I talk to mine all the time... Buzzy groans and complains back when its especially cold outside. I can just hear him mumbling and grumbling as we leave the neighborhood.

the factory knob has the threading deeper in the knob than a standard pro. TWM has a version that has extended threading or you're looking at getting a new knob.

You guys just like talking about your "knobs" online, don't you? (idhitit)

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, but I had a family emergency on Sunday and was rushing to get somewhere while doing a steady 110-120 on the highway. Amazing how stable the MSP is at those speeds. Not once did I feel out of control, or sketchy in any way. In retrospect, doing that on snow tires (I think all snows are rated to 99 mph) wasn't the best call, but good to know the car is capable of fast runs too...

That is definitely cruising on snows...hope all turned out well with the family emergency. It is a stable feeling car at higher speeds, especially with good tires on it. <3 my MSP....

Broke out my eastwood roller and pulled my fenders a bit more.
