well i just remembered i had a code before i put the 626 mani on so it was prob still on from the last time
i tried getting everything in today, but the dam hose wont go on the pushlock -10AN fitting on the turbo, theres like barely any room
i managed to get it halfway on already, tomm im going to try to get it on the rest of the way and then put the bumper back on and start it /check for leaks
and no, the missfire problem was caused by the egr, i knew one of the bolts was stripped but when i took off the intake mani, one of the bolts was completely gone
so i had a huge intake leak there causing the miss fire, ever since i put the 626 mani in, its been super smooth, no rough idle or anything

so today i drove it for the first time with no leaks/missfires/CEL's

drove down into the mall area and saw a pretty slammed sand mica sedan protege, had a hideous muffler,tails, and purple HIDS
everything else was pretty decent though, he had shaved door handles and i must say, it looked ******* sick
got me thinking about doing mine, but i dont want to rely on a remote to open my door, i loose stuff alot lol
opinions?
 
really? idk ive always just had an obsession with shaved cars, where everything is completely smooth
actually nvm, i jsut looked up some pics and all the shaved cars i see still have door handles

there goes that idea lol
 
yea im on the fence...im taking a paint class this semester so i could attempt it i guess, if i have the balls, i may try the back doors first lol
i wanted to take a pic of the car to help u guys out but i couldnt get to my phone fast enough :(
 
dude, how much this all cost you if you don't mind me asking? I would love to turbo my P5 in the future, hopefully I'll a job that pays well enough for some fun funds to go into the car.

And just an FYI, while you have no money....research, research, research. The more you know now the more you'll save down the road. Make a game plan and stick with it, that is where most people loose money. Spending money on things that they didn't really need or would most likely replace with something better down the line. (I'm an example of that for instance...lol)

Back to our regular programmed schedule....

i actually bought a different manifold and downpipe first, but then decided i didnt like it so i sold it

i actually made like 200 bucks off that though lol
but yea make a list, i made a word document, of what mods you would want to buy and how much they are, put a total u expect to spend

my list is completely different from what i did lol
 
If I stay NA what are the best mods for bang for your buck. I know the engine doesn't take that well to aftermarket mods but something is better then stock, right? I was thinking to start I would do Manifold (don't know which one), racing beat cat back, Cold air intake, short shifter, Eibach pro-kit and call it good for the time being. I want to keep it very streetable so a bit nervous about the springs since there's speed bumps in my aprtment complex, I don't want to scrap on anything.

Simon, I hope that heat paint holds up for you, the hot side of my turbo is pretty much all flaked off and I prepped and baked just like it said to :(

yea i painted my manifold with that silver flameproof and its already chipping off, its some bulls***
my turbo actually is still holding up really well, no discoloring or chipping at all
weird

lol thanks, and the rims are 17x7.5 +48, no spacers
i tried some 10mm spacers on the front to see what it would look like, could barely get the lugs threaded lol
set it down and it looked pretty dope, maybe when i have enough money to do extended studs ill get them

Well actually shes the reason I saw your profile. It was on my updates "Shannon commented on Simon's picture" or something like that and I saw it was u and ur brothers cars so I added you.

Umm, really, idk. haha. I think she added me right when I got facebook after some TMF peeps added me.
 
oh lol cuz she goes to the same school as me, UNCC, i saw her on campus once and she talked to me about the EECMM, she has a pretty sweet car, to bad she never comes out to any meets
i didnt think she was on any forums
